After graduating from UCLA in 2002, Sara Bareilles began performing at local venues and independently released the demo collections The First One and The Summer Sessions (2003). She self-released her debut album, Careful Confessions, in 2004, toured with Guster and Jon McLaughlin, and contributed music to the film Girl Play (2004). She signed with Epic Records in 2005 and opened for Marc Broussard in 2006. Her song "Gravity" also appeared in the film Loving Annabelle (2006). In 2007, she toured with Rocco DeLuca and the Burden, Aqualung, Mika, Maroon 5, Paolo Nutini, and James Blunt.

Ken Billington is a highly acclaimed lighting designer with over 50 years of experience in the theatre industry. Born in 1944 in Long Island, New York, Billington attended Hofstra University where he studied theatre and lighting design. After graduating, he began his career as a lighting designer in the Off-Broadway scene in the 1960s, eventually making his way to Broadway.
