Richard is currently the founding General Manager and Artistic Director of the Vass Theatre Group which owns and operates the Alex Theatre St. Kilda.
In October 2014, Aleksandar Vass invited him to redevelop the three former George Cinemas and turn them into three mid-size, commercial theatres capable of staging a variety of live performance and cinema. In February 2015, after extensive renovation, the new Alex Theatre St Kilda turned on it's lights and has been growing in popularity ever since.

Claibe Richardson was born on November 10, 1929 in Lufkin, Texas, to a wealthy banking family. His father was a very personal close friend of Huey B. Long, Govenor of Texas, who awarded Claibe a gold coin upon his birth.
Claiborne Foster Richardson, also known as "CFR," died of cancer in his NY West Side apartment, which he had occupied since 1959.
