Richard Eyre was director of the Royal National Theatre (1988-1997). He has directed many classics and new plays by David Hare, Christopher Hampton, Tom Stoppard, Alan Bennett, Trevor Griffiths, Tony Harrison and Nicholas Wright. He directed Arthur Miller’s The Crucible on Broadway in 2001 and Hedda Gabler in the West End in 2006. Mark was the recipient of the 1992, 1995, 2000, 2002, 2010 and 2016 Laurence Olivier Awards for Lighting Design, was awarded a Tony award in 2006 for The History Boys.
