Seattle Theatre Group announced its 2026/27 Performing Arts Series, featuring 15 performances spanning jazz, dance, global music, and theatre, including a newly commissioned work from Perfume Genius and Kate Wallich.

Comedian Jake Baker returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a new hour tackling masculinity, hyper-masculine influencers, and modern manhood, directed by David Hardcastle at Hoots @ The Apex.

I was fortunate enough to see and work a show when Darius first reintroduced himself as a Country artist at a small acoustic concert. Darius Rucker played the 107 MUS The Moose (WMUS) concert in Muskegon, Michigan, in 2013 shortly after he transitioned to country music, acting as a headliner for the radio station's acoustic summer concert series at Heritage Landing.  So I was so excited to get to come out to see him again, and the entertainment factor only grew, and I even got to see some of the songs that he was introducing back on that stage!   “First Time,” “Home Grown”, “Come Back Song”, “ All Night Long”,  and “Alright”.

The Teen edition of Heathers opens at Playhouse Teater the 7th of January for a limited run.

Originally from Canada, Kyanna is a New York City-based dancer with a BFA in Commercial Dance from Pace University. She has been living and professionally working in New York for the past 10 years and most recently completed a three-year run with the New York Knicks as a Knicks City Dancer.

COLORED PEOPLE'S TIME: A HISTORY PLAY, written by Leslie Lee and directed by Ben Guillory, will open on April 18, 2026, at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. The play explores the resilience and triumphs of Black Americans post-Civil War.

Broadway has a long history of one-person shows, including many that have been added to the canon in this century.  Seeing one actor powerfully create a whole world on stage can be an exceptional experience. Of course, one handers are hardly one-person projects; while there may only be one actor on stage, they are collaborating with an entire team of creatives, designers, and behind-the-scenes personnel to bring a show to life.
