The full cast and creative team for the new musical LIFE AFTER at CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre has just been announced. The new musical will play a limited engagement from Wednesday, April 16 – Sunday, May 4, 2025 as part of the 2024/25 Off-Mirvish Season. Check out who is joining the cast here!

JACK has announced the nine artists selected for residencies at JACK. Chosen from an open call that drew 169 submissions, the artists include theater-makers Carolina Đỗ, Kedian Keohan, Drew Drake and Jadele McPherson, designers Itohan Edoloyi and Tuçe Yasak, composers Jaime Lozano and Sugar Vendil, and dance artist Nora Alami. 

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that stage and screen star Danny Aiello passed away yesterday, December 12, from a 'sudden illness.' He was 86 years old.

American Renaissance Theater Company (ARTC) will present the World Premiere of Mark Levine's new play Fast Food Voices. The site-specific immersive production will take place at Ryan's Daughter on the Upper East Side. The limited engagement runs April 4 - 12 and is directed by John D. McNally. The evening features a dynamic series of vignettes that highlight an eclectic mix of New Yorkers that are often ignored, forgotten, and marginalized. Fast Food Voices showcases a diverse, multi-generational cast that includes emerging talent and Broadway veterans.

Calgary-based Honens International Piano Competition will begin accepting applications for its eighth edition beginning September 30, 2014. The Competition's Quarterfinals take place in Berlin, London and New York in spring, 2015. Semifinals and Finals take place in Calgary from September 3 to 12, 2015. Bruce Morton, an award-winning political correspondent for CBS News who also covered the Vietnam War and the space program, died today at his home in Washington, D.C., after a battle with cancer. He was 83.
