The Passion of Dracula

Born into one of Hollywood’s most beloved musical dynasties, with mother Shirley Jones, father Jack Cassidy, and brothers David and Shaun, Patrick Cassidy has long stood out as a star in his own right.

On Monday, December 9, 2024, 7:30pm, The New School's College of Performing Arts – Mannes, Jazz, Drama, will present the Mannes Orchestra led by conductor David Hayes, at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall.

With Halloween just around the corner, the Long Beach Playhouse will serve up a classic horror story with a twist in The Passion of Dracula.

Bernard Pomerance’s The Elephant Man, premiered at the Hampstead Theatre in London in November of 1977. Pomerance’s play also transferred to the National Theatre in London for an “In Rep” residency. From January to March of 1979 it played off-Broadway, and made a transfer to the Booth Theatre on Broadway later in 1979, but the production closed in 1981 after 916 regular performances. The Elephant Man received revivals in 2002 and 2014.

Casting is now complete for the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Annie. The new cast members are Roger Bart as Daniel 'Rooster' Hannigan, Kaylin Hedges as Annie, Ali Stroker as 'Star-to-Be,' Amir Talai as Bert Healy, Marlow Barkley as Kate, Amadi Chapata as Pepper, Noe Lynds as July, Rae Martinez as Tessie, Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja as Molly, and Olivia Zenetzis as Duffy.

The Science Theater Company, the newly formed theatre company founded by Producer Eric Krebs that uses the magic of theatre to make science fun, will do just that this spring. That Physics Show - now in its 3rd year Off Broadway - recipient of the 2016 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience, written and performed by lifetime physics demonstrator David Maiullo (and his alternate, fellow physics demonstrator Andrew Yolleck) and That Chemistry Show, written by Borislaw Bilash which both delight, amaze and educate audiences will be performed in repertory for an open ended engagement at The Playroom Theater (151 West 46th Street just east of Broadway) beginning, Saturday, February 17, 2018. Award winning EMH Productions continues its sixth season of provocative and compelling theatre with the dynamic and chilling two character drama TOYER: An Unavoidable Tragedy by Hollywood playwright and actor Gardner McKay.  This timely 90 minute play delves into the mind games of a serial lobotomist of women, dubbed The Toyer by local LA police.  The struggle for power over one another, the willingness to believe what we want to, to buy into what a person is telling us because the truth is too awful to face speaks to the state of our nation in this current climate of political unrest.  TOYER will run Thursday October 12th (preview) through Tuesday October 31st, 2017 at the Ooley Theatre located at 2007 28th Street, Sacramento, CA 95818.
