Every Broadway theatre will dim its lights in Maggie Smith's honor. An iconic performer cherished by theatregoers and admired by colleagues around the world, Smith passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 89.

New this year will be the Gala's move to Saturday evening instead of Monday night as in past seasons.
