Mount Wilson Observatory, the place where humankind discovered its place in the universe, has announced the third date in its Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome six-month series, to take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023. The performances are presented inside the singular vaulted dome of the 100-inch telescope. The concert series is curated by Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan, who is also its co-founder.

In Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, which will mark the Wilma's 11th production of a work by Tom Stoppard, minor characters take center stage as they journey on a boat taking Prince Hamlet to England with players from the royal court. As these characters unknowingly sail to a fate Shakespeare has already scripted for them, arguments of free will and determinism abound, all set to the constant travel game of flipping coins. In this battle of wits, Stoppard's characteristic wordplay and case of mistaken identities create a spectacle that's philosophical, clownish, and complete with a pirate-ambush.

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. At today's TKTS Times Square 40th Anniversary celebration, celebrity guests Harvey Fierstein and Julie Halston announced a new program at Theatre Development Fund's TKTS Booth in Times Square - the TKTS 7-Day Fast Pass - whereby TKTS patrons may return to the iconic discount ticket booth within 7 days of their TKTS purchase and walk up to window #1 with their TKTS ticket stub, thereby avoiding the longer lines at peak hours. Thus, allowing them quicker access to purchase same-day discounts or future-performance full-priced tickets. Earlier in the program, TDF announced that theTKTS' satellite booth at South Street Seaport, which has been closed since Hurricane Sandy, is currently under reconstruction and will be open sometime in July. That Booth serves thousands of theatregoers who work and live in Downtown Manhattan.
