Madison Opera will open its 63rd season with Giacomo Puccini's Tosca on Friday, November 3 at 8pm and Sunday, November 5 at 2:30pm in Overture Hall at the Overture Center for the Arts.

Love, politics, sadism and religion: all these ingredients are brought together in the story of the jealous and impulsive singer Floria Tosca, who is in love with the idealistic Mario Cavaradossi in an Italy fighting for its independence.

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced that Broadway's Kate Rockwell (Mean Girls, Bring it On: The Musical, Legally Blonde) and Hunter Foster (Little Shop of Horrors, The Producers, The Bridges of Madison County) will star as Ellen and Clark Griswold in the upcoming world premiere of the laugh-out-loud new musical comedy The Griswolds' Broadway Vacation.

The Philadelphia Orchestra had not finished its residency before Bravo! Vail Music Festival Artistic Director Anne-Marie McDermott took to the stage to announce that the exemplary orchestra would be back in 2019 for the summer classical music destination's debut opera production: Puccini's Tosca. The exquisite, outdoor Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater will be transformed as never before for two performances of Tosca on July 11 and 13, 2019. The unprecedented production for Bravo! Vail will reunite The Philadelphia Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin with Director James Alexander and production company Symphony V, whose imaginative design will transport audiences to 1800s Rome. The new production of Puccini's TOSCA will be a reconstruction of the original production from Rome in 1900, conducted by the Israeli Opera's master-conductor - Maestro Daniel Oren, who is also conducting the production of Verdi's UN BALLO IN MASCHERA. Verdi's colourful opera - UN BALLO IN MASCHERA will be directed by world renowned Mical Znaniecki and conducted by Daniel Oren.
