The Atlanta Opera opens its 2013-2014 season with a production of Giacomo Puccini's dramatic tour de force, Tosca. War, chaos and corruption set the tone for the Giacomo Puccini's iconic opera as Opera Columbus kicks off its 40th season with Tosca, the very first opera it presented upon the company's premiere in 1981. 

Jason C. Tramm will conduct a concert version of Tosca, Giacomo Puccini's visionary and dramatic operatic masterpiece on November 16 at the South Orange Performing Art Center. Opera Naples, one of Naples' leading performing arts organizations, has announced tickets are on sale for the II Festival Under the Stars. From Italy to China, the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera's 2017-2018 season spans the globe with performances of Giacomo Puccini's Tosca and Turandot.  On Sunday, October 15, 2017, Verismo Opera brings to the stage again Puccini's Tosca set in Italy with Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa's libretto in four acts based upon Victorien Sardou's drama, La Tosca.

The 2021-22 season will be conducted by Artistic Director and renowned conductor Ramón Tebar and include productions at the newly renovated Wang Opera Center, the II Festival Under the Stars, and an extraordinary concert with Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov at Arthrex One.

When Giacomo Puccini saw a performance of Victorien Sardo's play La Tosca, whilst Sarah Bernhardt was touring with it in Milan, he was immediately captivated by the power of the drama. Love, politics, sadism and religion: all these ingredients are brought together in the story of the jealous and impulsive singer Floria Tosca, who is in love with the idealistic Mario Cavaradossi in an Italy fighting for its independence.
