The inaugural Young Arts Showcase will be taking place at the Swindon Arts Centre for a special one night only performance on Friday the 20th of November. After a series of applications from across the town, the final line up has been announced.

The Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre presents Shakespeare's classic love story of Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, the star crossed lovers who defy their families and marry in secret in THE TRAGEDY OF ROMEO AND JULIET, which comes to Laguna Playhouse Moulton Theatre November 6 - 15. Family feuds and miscommunication lead to street fighting, the death of trusted kinsman's, banishment and finally the suicide of both Romeo and Juliet.

The third show in Laguna Playhouse's 2015-2016 season will be the U.S. Premiere of ACT 3..., written by David Ambrose and Claudia Nellens and directed by Martin Bergman. Rita Rudner and Charles Shaughnessy will star.

Wareham have announced that legendary comedian David Steinberg, will perform his acclaimed one-man show for two nights only in AN EVENING WITH DAVID STEINBERG on Friday, November 21 & Saturday, November 22 at 7:30pm at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.

Theatre Under The Trees is turning back time to the early 1920's with this year's show. William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night is a play that mixes mirth and merriment in near perfect proportions so setting it in the lull after World War I and before the Roaring 20's seems to be a good fit.

Legendary jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker (1920-1955) was “a genius who lived fast and died young, revolutionizing an art form in a few short years” (NPR). The Grammy Award-winning bebop legend is the subject of Charlie Parker's YARDBIRD, the first world premiere in almost four decades for Opera Philadelphia, recognized by Opera News as “one of the leading instigators of new work in the country.” The new chamber opera was created for American tenor Lawrence Brownlee, a nominee for the 2015 International Opera Male Singer of the Year Award, by composer Daniel Schnyder, whose “thrilling classical-tinged jazz blend…constantly pushes the envelope” (Jazz Times), to a libretto by award-winning poet and playwright Bridgette Wimberly. Directed by Ron Daniels under the leadership of Music Director Corrado Rovaris, Charlie Parker's YARDBIRD premieres in Opera Philadelphia's Aurora Series for Chamber Opera, crowning the company's 40th Anniversary Season with a five-performance run in the Kimmel Center's intimate Perelman Theater (June 5–14). Next spring, Tony Award winners Audra McDonald, George C. Wolfe, and Savion Glover will team up to collaborate on SHUFFLE ALONG, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, a musical about the events that led to the creation of the groundbreaking Eubie Blake-Noble Sissle musical Shuffle Along. Starring Audra McDonald as the 1920's star Lottie Gee, directed by George C. Wolfe -- with a book written by Wolfe -- and choreographed by Savion Glover, the musical marks the first time that the writer/director and choreographer will have worked together since their 1996 hit Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk. Previews will begin Monday, March 14, 2016. Opening night is Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).
