Island Shakespeare Festival (ISF) and Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA) present the first ever Whidbey Repertory Festival (WRP) which will take place over the course of two weekends in March (March 16-26) and will feature three solo shows by theatre artists from around the world. What did our critic think of TOOTSIE at Rochester Broadway Theatre League? The Rochester Broadway Theatre League begins its 2022-2023 M&T Bank Broadway season with something fun and splashy, a perfect date night musical based on one of the 1980s' most beloved pop culture gems. 'Tootsie', the Robert Horn and David Yazbek musical adaption of the 1982 Dustin Hoffman film of the same name, is a light and springy show about showbiz, which also attempts to grapple with the difficulties of being a woman in a man's world. Rochester is the first stop on Tootsie's national tour.

Kids in the Rotunda, Madison's favorite family-friendly Saturday arts performance series, kicks off its 2022/23 season on Overture Center's Rotunda stage next month, starting with a returning favorite, Black Star Drum Line, on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Saint Sebastian Players have announced the company's 41st season, featuring a French romantic comedy from the '60s, a look at Shakespeare behind the scenes and a comedy set on a Broadway opening night. Performances take place at SSP's home in the lower level of St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey, Chicago.

Carolines on Broadway, New York City's premier comedy venue, announces its talented line-up for the month of June, with headliners Ed Bassmaster, June 3 and 4; Jay Pharoah, from the Netflix film Resort to Love, June 9 - 12; Shuler King, from the film Halloween Kickback, Fathers Day Weekend, June 16 - 18; Nick Mullen, from the podcast Cum Town, June 23 - 25; and Affion Crockett, from MTV's Wild 'N Out, on June 30.
