As part of its 2016-2017 Performing Arts Season, Japan Society presents Treasured Noh Plays from the Desk of W. B. Yeats performed by the Kita Noh Theater Company, an exploration of noh through full performances, excerpts, lectures and talks.

The Richard Tucker Music Foundation's annual gala, one of the opera world's most star-studded evenings, returns home to New York's Carnegie Hall after an absence of more than a quarter of a century this Sunday, October 30, and for the first time, audiences both in the U.S. and abroad will have the opportunity to watch it live (6pm ET/3pm PT). Thanks to a new partnership with medici.tv, the gala concert will be webcast live free of charge both on medici.tv and on medici.tv's Facebook page, and made available for on-demand viewing for 90 days. In addition, the Richard Tucker Music Foundation continues its collaboration with WQXR 105.9 FM, New York's classical radio station, which will broadcast the performance to listeners in the New York metropolitan region and beyond on November 18 at 9pm ET/6pm PT. San Francisco Opera Center Director Sheri Greenawald today announced the thirteen recipients of the 2017 Adler Fellowship. Nine singers, three pianist/apprentice coaches and one director will take part in the program-a multi-year performance-oriented residency offering advanced young artists intensive individual training, coaching and professional seminars, as well as a wide range of performance opportunities. Adler Fellows are selected from the young artists who have participated in the Merola Opera Program. The prestigious fellowship has nurtured the development of more than 175 young artists since its inception.

Writer and actor Modesto 'Flako' Jimenez performs his autobiographical and uncompromising collection of poetry, Oye Para mi Querido Brooklyn (Listen For My Dear Brooklyn.) Hiding out in his abuelita's bathroom, Flako, a young Dominican man, escapes into the memories of losing his culture and self to the gentrified blocks of Bushwick. Oye For My Dear Brooklyn is performed in both English and Spanish through a series of poems, video projections, and music. Lyrical and savage, Flako's poetry is populated with immigrants, drug dealers, condoritos, tiguerasos, mothers and sons, all asking the same question, "What's my moral worth?"

Miller Lite has named Santa Fe, New Mexico-based companyHoneyMoon Brewery as the grand-prize winner of the 2016 Miller Lite Tap the Future competition. HoneyMoon Brewery produces an adult probiotic Kombucha tea with a touch of alcohol. The company took home the $200,000 grand prize, following two rounds of rigorous live pitching, which included serial entrepreneur and business mogul Daymond John, from ABC's "Shark Tank." Now in its fourth year, Tap the Future is a business plan competition that offers entrepreneurs a chance to grow their businesses.
