Producer Scott Rudin announced today a special Midnight Performance for Edward Albee's Three Tall Women on Thursday, May 17 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), which will be a one-night-only benefit for The Actors Fund. The first Broadway production of Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece stars two-time Academy Award®-winner Glenda Jackson, Tony Award® winner, three-time Emmy Award® winner, and 2018 Academy Award® nominee Laurie Metcalf, and Tony Award® nominee Alison Pill, and is directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello. Tickets will be available at actorsfund.org.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of the comedy, "Breaking Legs" by Tom Dulack, on Monday, April 23, at 7 p.m.  The reading will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each.

The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Managing Director Robert G. Bradshaw, today announces the complete cast for Toshiki Okada's Time's Journey Through a Room, marking PlayCo's third collaboration with Okada, translator Aya Ogawa, and director Dan Rothenberg, May 10 - June 10, 2018. This haunting play, set in post-Fukushima Japan, will star three Japanese born performers, all of whom are now based in New York: Yuki Kawahisa (Honoka), Maho Honda (Arisa) and Kensaku Shinohara (Kazuki). The play is both an intimate examination of how we move forward from life-altering events, and a study of how we experience time, asking whether we can ever be alive to the present moment. 

Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) Artistic Director Bill Rauch announced the Festival's 2019 playbill today. Cleveland Play House (CPH) is proud to announce the cast of the high-spirited, interactive musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Broadway and TV actress Ali Stroker (Glee, Deaf West's Production of Spring Awakening) joins Broadway veterans Kirsten Wyatt (Annie, Elf, Shrek), John Scherer (Sunset Boulevard, By Jeeves, Funny Girl), Lee Slobotkin, Chad Burris (both of Book of Mormon), Kay Trinidad Karns (Little Mermaid), and more in this laugh-out-loud musical directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge on the Allen Stage through May 6th. The release of the new album will be celebrated by a U.S. arena tour, produced by AEG Presents, that will kick off on July 11 in Minneapolis, MN, and will visit major markets throughout the summer before concluding in the band's hometown of Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug. 18 at T-Mobile Arena. Amulet Books announced today that actor, singer, and songwriter Andy Mientus has written a middle-grade fiction series called The Backstagers. The first installment, The Backstagers and the Ghost Light, will publish on September 25, 2018. The series will follow the paranormal adventures of a high school stage crew and is based on the award-winning BOOM! Studios graphic novels created by James Tynion IV and Rian Sygh.

Two-time Tony Award Winner Norbert Leo Butz is about to take the stage again this year in the Broadway Revival of My Fair Lady as Alfred P. Doolittle -- a part that won George Rose the Tony back in 1976. Butz is one of only nine actors who have won the Best Actor Tony twice (alongside stars like Nathan Lane).
