Michael Cerveris and Laura Osnes to Join Randy Newman in Encores! FAUST: THE CONCERT, July 1

Michael Cerveris, Isaiah Johnson, Randy Newman, Laura Osnes, Vonda Shepard, Brooklyn Shuck, Tony Vincent and Broadway Inspirational Voices have been cast in Randy Newman's Faust: The Concert, which will be performed on July 1 as the second Encores! Off-Center presentation of the 2014 season. Faust will be directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Marcos Santana. Jeanine Tesori is the Encores! Off-Center artistic director; Chris Fenwick is its music director.

Lincoln Center Announces OUT OF DOORS 2014 Summer Festival Lineup; Runs 7/20-8/10

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. New Brooklyn Theater has announced casting today for its site-specific production of Edward Albee's The Death of Bessie Smith at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn. This rare revival will run for eight performances between today, January 9 and 19, 2014.

New Brooklyn Theater has announced casting today for its site-specific production of Edward Albee's The Death of Bessie Smith at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn. This rare revival will run for eight performances between January 9 and 19, 2014. Each performance will be followed by talkbacks or panel discussions with leaders in the arts, government, labor, and health. These discussions are intended to raise critical questions about health access, race, class, and the arts in New York.

THE SUNSET LIMITED by Pulitzer Prize-winner Cormac McCarthy opens Rubicon Theatre Company's 16th Season on Saturday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m., just on the heels of the October 25 release of McCarthy's highly anticipated blockbuster film 'The Counselor,' directed by Ridley Scott with an all-star cast including Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz.

The Rides to Kick Off U.S. in September

The Rides is a new all-star blues-rock trio formed by legendary singer-songwriter and Buffalo Springfield/CSN/CSN&Y principal Stephen Stills, fellow guitar slinger Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and venerable Electric Flag keyboardist Barry Goldberg. The group will tour throughout September in support of its debut album, Can't Get Enough, set for release August 27 on 429 Records. The series of dates kicks off with the band filming a concert for television from New York City's iconic Iridium Jazz Club on August 28 and 29, and wraps on September 27 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, NV. Highlights also include shows at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston (9/7), Theatre at Westbury in Westbury, NY (9/8), Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee, WI (9/13), ACL Live at the Moody Theatre in Austin, TX (9/21), and The Fillmore in San Francisco (9/25).

Producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced today that Tony Award-winners James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave will return to the New York stage this Fall to star opposite one another in the Broadway Premiere of Alfred Uhry‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy. Directed by David Esbjornson (The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?), Driving Miss Daisy will begin performances on October 7, 2010, at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), with an official opening on Monday, October 25, 2010.
