The Almeida will broadcast Artistic Director Rupert Goold's production of RICHARD III, with Ralph Fiennes as Shakespeare's most notorious villain and Vanessa Redgrave as Queen Margaret, live to cinemas in the UK and around the world on 21 July.

Irish Repertory Theatre, in association with The Public Theater will present the US premiere of the Abbey Theatre's production of QUIETLY. Birmingham Royal Ballet announces the 2016/2017 Birmingham Hippodrome season, the 27th season at its home theatre in the Midlands. The season will celebrate the Company's varied repertory, from the spectacular new The Tempest in the autumn through to the return of The Nutcracker for Christmas and Coppelia in the summer of 2017. Over the course of the season, the Company will perform four full-length classic ballets and a programme of shorter works to include the return of Michael Corder's Le Baiser de la fee, John Cranko's Pineapple Poll and a brand new ballet from Company member Ruth Brill called Arcadia.

The National Theatre has confirmed dates and venues for the 2017 tour of its multi-award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling book by Simon Stephens and directed by Marianne Elliott.  

On July 20, in celebration of its 40th season, the Mann Center for the Performing Arts will present the North American premiere of FIREBIRD: REIMAGINED, a multidisciplinary interpretation of Igor Stravinsky's orchestral score for the 1910 ballet The Firebird.

The Irish Repertory Theatre, which 'encourages the development of works focusing on the Irish and Irish-American experience, and produces works of other cultures interpreted through the lens of an Irish sensibility,' continues the 10th season of the Irish Rep Reading Series.  A staged reading of Robin Glendinning's play King Fishers Catch Fire will be held on Friday, March 25, at 3pm EST at the DR2 Theater, (the Irish Repertory Theatre's temporary home during recent renovations).  The Irish Rep's literary manager, Kara Manning, will direct the reading. The Tony Award-winning production of the National Theatre's THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME will close on Sunday, September 4, 2016. It will have played 23 previews and 800 regular performances (including 1 Actors Fund performance). The production opened on October 5, 2014 (previews began September 10, 2014) at the Barrymore Theatre.

Due to critical acclaim and popular demand, Playwrights Horizons has announced an extension of their New York premiere production of FAMILIAR, a new play by Obie Award-winner Danai Gurira (Eclipsed now on Broadway, In the Continuum, The Convert, Michonne on AMC's 'The Walking Dead'). Directed by Rebecca Taichman (Stage Kiss, Milk Like Sugar at PH; The Oldest Boy; Marie Antoinette; Luck of the Irish; Orlando), the play is the fourth production of the theater company's 2015/2016 Season.
