According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wes Bentley is currently in negotiations for the final supporting role in the film. Classic Stage Company has announced that Deb Radloff, who appeared in the company's recent production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, is this year's recipient of the Rosemarie Tichler Fund grant. The Fund was established in 2010 with the mission to assist young actors who have appeared at CSC and who have recently made the transition from their training into the profession. The $3000 grant can be used by the young artist to continue training or to offset loans they may have incurred while studying their craft. With the grant, CSC hopes to make a difference in the lives of young actors at the start of their careers as well as to heighten awareness in the community to the specific needs of actors. The recipient was selected by a panel of judges which included Rosemarie Tichler, CSC Artistic Director Brian Kulick and CSC Casting Director James Calleri.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) announced today that, with the May 19 finale of its 2012-13 season, Artistic Director Michael Bloom will close out his tenure with the theatre company.

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, written by Christopher Durang, today won the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award (NYDCC) for Best Play of the 2012-2013 season. Matilda received the award for Best Musical. The selections were made at the 78th annual voting meeting of the organization today at the offices of Time Out New York in Manhattan.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, will present a new production of Bertolt Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle featuring Christopher Lloyd (Azdak), directed by Brian Kulick (who directed Brecht's Galileo last season), and featuring new music by Tony Award-winning singer/songwriter Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening). The Caucasian Chalk Circle will begin performances tonight, May 3 at CSC (136 East 13th Street) for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 9. The official opening is Thursday, May 30.

Geva Theatre Center's 2013 Fielding Nextstage Season concludes with Venus in Fur, by David Ives. Directed by Aimee Hayes, the production begins performances on May 16 and runs in the Fielding Nextstage through June 2.

This morning the Cannes Film Festival announced the 66th Official Selection titles. Among the selections premiering at the festival will be Roman Polanski's upcoming big screen adaptation of VENUS IN FUR, starring Emmanuelle Seigner and Mathieu Amalric.
