The Old Globe presents the world premiere of Steve Martin's new play METEOR SHOWER, an adult comedy, marking his welcome return to the Globe following the great success of Bright Star. Today, Curve Artistic Director, Nikolai Foster, announces the cast for his production of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated actress Cathy Tyson will star as the iconic Lady Bracknell in Foster's stylish reimagining of Wilde's much-loved comedy. Cathy is best known for her role in the multi-award winning film Mona Lisa, classic ITV drama series Band of Gold and her stage work with the RSC and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse.

At today's Variety's annual TV Summit held at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, playwright Aaron Sorkin revealed the news that Scott Ellis will direct NBC's upcoming live adaptation of A FEW GOOD MEN.

Following its initial casting announcement in April, The Muny announced today additional principal cast members for its spectacular 98th season. The 2016 Muny season opens with The Wizard of Oz followed by 42nd Street and The Music Man. The season includes the premieres of the popular Mel Brooks comedy, Young Frankenstein and world-wide megahit, Mamma Mia!, and closes with Fiddler on the Roof and Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida.

Artistic Director Christopher Haydon today announces full casting for the world premiere of The Iphigenia Quartet which includes Agamemnon, written by Caroline Bird and directed by Christopher Haydon; Chorus, written by Chris Thorpe and directed by Elayce Ismail; Iphigenia by Suhayla El-Bushra and directed by Rebecca Hill and Clytemnestra by Lulu Raczka and directed by Jennifer Tang. In Agamemnon, Andrew French plays Agamemnon, Nigel Barratt plays Menelaus, Sharon Duncan-Brewster plays Clytemnestra and Louise McMenemy plays Messenger. The cast of Agamemnon will all play Voice in Chorus. In Iphigenia and Clytemnestra, Shannon Tarbet plays Iphigenia and Maid, Susie Trayling plays Clytemnestra and Professor, Dwane Walcott plays Achilles and Soldier and Anthony Barclay plays Agamemnon and Director. The Iphigenia Quartet opens at the Gate Theatre, on 3 May, with previews from 23 April, until 21 May. Agamemnon and Clytemnestra will play in rep with Iphigenia and Chorus as part of Nuclear: A Season about the Family.

Tarragon Theatre presents the world premiere of Mustard, a darkly comic fairytale by one of Toronto's hottest and most prolific young playwrights and directors, Kat Sandler, in her debut work for the company. This whimsical production about a mother and daughter navigating life after divorce is directed byAshlie Corcoran, who now helms her second work for Tarragon (the first was the Tarragon-Theatre Smash co-production of The Ugly One two seasons ago). Mustardpreviews from February 2, opens February 10 and runs to March 13 in Tarragon's Extraspace.
