BAC Announces Spring 2019 Season

Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) announces the Spring 2019 season of dance, theater, music, and multimedia presentations, running January 30 through May 30. A complete lineup of BAC Residencies-to be announced in January-will provide residencies to artists across disciplines to create new works of dance, theater, music, and multimedia.

Casting has been announced for Rosenbaum's Rescue, the World Premiere play exploring the true story of how over 7,000 Danish Jews managed to escape the Nazi occupation in 1943. Starring Olivier Award-winner David Bamber, Neil McCaul, Dorothea Myer-Bennett and Julia Swift, the production unearths new accounts behind one of history's most compelling mysteries. Directed by Kate Fahy and written by A. Bodin Saphir, the official press night at Park Theatre will be Tuesday 15 Jan, 7pm.

This year, four new actors join the cast - three of whom will make their Theatrical Outfit debuts. "The Theatrical Outfit production doesn't miss a detail … likely soon to be a holiday classic," says The Atlanta Journal-Constitution of Miss Bennet, which runs November 21 - December 23 downtown at The Balzer Theater at Herren's.

Deafinitely Theatre and New Diorama Theatre today announce a new production of Sarah Kane's 4.48 Psychosis. Artistic Director of Deafinitely Theatre, Paula Garfield, directs Adam Bassett, Brian Duffy, Jim Fish and Matt Kyle. Opening at New Diorama Theatre on 21 September, with previews from 18 September and running until 13 October. The production then tours to Derby Theatre from 19 - 20 October.
