Main Street Theater announces its 38th MainStage Season and 33rd Theater for Youth Season.

American Society of Music Arrangers & Composers (ASMAC) and American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP) present 'Up Close & Personal' with Musical Director, Orchestrator and Composer Jonathan Tunick. The evening will be an in-depth conversation with the Oscar, Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award winner, hosted by ASMAC President Orchestrator/Arranger/Music Director Larry Blank.

David Zwirner presents an exhibition of new works by James Welling, on view at the gallery's 533 West 19th Street space. This will be the photographer's fifth solo show at the gallery. David Zwirner has announced the gallery's third solo exhibition of drawings and three-dimensional works by Al Taylor. On view at the gallery's 519 West 19th Street space, the exhibition will present a comprehensive examination of two individual series by the artist: Pass the Peas (1991-92) and Can Studys [sic] from 1993, as well as a related group of works entitled Cans and Hoops (1993) which bridge the evolution between the two series. 'Pass the Peas' and 'Can Studys' will be on view from today, September 7 through October 27, 2012, with an opening reception set for tonight, September 7th from 6 to 8 p.m.

Bette Midler tribute artist Donna Maxon revisits the glorious 70's with her new cabaret show BETTE & BARRY: BACK TO THE BATHHOUSE co-written by Maxon and director Michael Schiralli. Maxon stars as the Divine Miss M, performing a hilariously bawdy act of tunes, monologues, and jokes. The show co-stars musical director Fonda Feingold as Barry Manilow, and the duo proudly pays homage to the partnership that Midler and Manilow began at New York's Continental Baths in 1970.
