From Wednesday, July 24 through Tuesday, August 6, BAM presents We Can't Even: Millennials on Film, a 14-day, 27-feature, three-short series that takes a prismatic approach to the experiences of a much-maligned and frequently misunderstood generation, featuring films by Barry Jenkins, Celine Sciamma, Gus Van Sant, Kenneth Lonergan, Xavier Dolan, Greta Gerwig, Sofia Coppola, the Safdie brothers, and others.   

Take one of the best-loved stories for children and some fantastic food served by waiters who are also the actors and you have the latest project from Scripts For Supper, creators of immersive theatrical and dining experiences. The Wind In The Willows, adapted and performed in a series of London city farms, follows the adventures of Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad as they explore life, loyalty and what is really means to be friends.

Wendi Peters, Kimberley Walsh and Matthew Kelly will star as Mrs Baskin, Susan Lawrence and George MacMillan respectively. They join the previously announced Jay McGuiness as Josh Baskin. Based on the smash-hit movie starring Tom Hanks, BIG The Musical makes its West End premiere at the Dominion Theatre for a strictly limited nine-week season from 6 September to 2 November 2019, with a Gala Night in aid of Make-A-Wish on Tuesday 17 September.

San Francisco Opera's 2019 Summer Season opens with Georges Bizet's Carmen June 5 29 at the War Memorial Opera House. Presented in American director Francesca Zambello's acclaimed staging, which has been mounted by Opera Australia, Royal Opera, Covent Garden, and Norwegian National Opera, the opera features American mezzo-soprano J'Nai Bridges in her first professional performances of the title role and American tenor Matthew Polenzani assuming the role of Don Jos for the first time. Romanian soprano Anita Hartig makes her San Francisco Opera debut as Mica la and American bass-baritone Kyle Ketelsen is the bullfighter, Escamillo. In his first opera engagement with the Company, conductor James Gaffigan leads the cast and San Francisco Opera Orchestra.

Town Hall Theatre Company (THT) is thrilled to announce four compelling plays and musicals for its milestone 75th 2019/20 Season, entitled TRANSFORMATIONS. Town Hall's TRANSFORMATIONS Season opens with Matthew Lopez's fabulously sassy comedy The Legend of Georgia McBride; continues with the West Coast premiere of an enchanting original new take on the classic Brothers Grimm story Cinderella: A Fairytale; followed by Anton Chekhov's final masterpiece, The Cherry Orchard; and closes with the stirring Tony-nominated musical Violet. Six young stars will have the chance to shine in the South African premiere of hit Tony Award-winning musical KINKY BOOTS. Presented by Eric Abraham and The Fugard Theatre, a brand new, original production of this huge-hearted musical will run at The Fugard Theatre from 11 June 2019.

The McCallum Theatre announced today its new lineup for the 2019-2020 season, continuing to present the finest world-class artists and entertainers for Coachella Valley audiences.  The new season includes McCallum debuts, returning favorites, iconic superstars, family-friendly entertainment and holiday cheer, among so much more. The Kitchen presents an expansive new project from ANOHNI, beginning with LOVE, an exhibition of new works in painting and drawing, photography, sculpture, and archival video revolving in part around the figure of Antony and the Johnsons' late member Julia Yasuda; as well as an ambitious new theater piece, The Johnsons Present LOVE, building on the work of The Johnsons and Blacklips Performance Cult, two performance groups that ANOHNI founded in the 1990s. As in the exhibition, these performances will be composed of new work in addition to material from previous decades, featuring an incredible cast of artists, actors, and performers both familiar with and new to these writings: Charles Atlas, Matteah Baim, Michael Cavadias, Tom Cole, Johanna Constantine, Eliza Douglas, Scott Jackson, Connie Fleming, Lorraine O'Grady, Lola Naisse, Kembra Pfahler, Marti Wilkerson, and Colin Whitaker. On May 16, ANOHNI will be honored alongside sculptor Robert Gober at The Kitchen's Spring 2019 Gala.

Full casting has been announced for The Last Temptation of Boris Johnson, the new Brexit-inspired comedy drama from journalist, broadcaster and playwright Jonathan Maitland (An Audience with Jimmy Savile, Dead Sheep). Directed by Lotte Wakeham (Artistic Director of the Octagon Theatre, Bolton), this world premiere will play at Park Theatre from 9 May to 8 June 2019, with a press night at 7.00pm on Monday 13 May.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts announces A Star is Born: The Concert, on Saturday, April 13 at 8 pm. The show features a number of Broadway' finest singers, from shows such as Cats, Crazy for You, Aida, and more. Bay Street audiences will remember director/performer Scott Coulter from Music Monday's Stephen Schwartz & Friends and the 8-Track Memories concert.

New York Live Arts (Live Arts) to present the world premiere of Molly Lieber and Eleanor Smith's Body Comes Apart, March 6-9, 2019, having commissioned the work as part of the Live Feed Residency Program. The duo, Bessie Award nominees in choreography and Lieber recipient in outstanding performance, continue their experimental 10-year creative practice using abstraction as a means of confronting trauma. Based on a dynamic improvisational score, Body Comes Apart embraces the potentialities of bodies to challenge perceptions of female identity.

Get a first look below at the UK premiere of Blue Door, Tanya Barfield's searing play with music which examines family, identity and the African-American male experience. First seen in the US in 2006, the UK stage premiere, directed by Eleanor Rhode and starring  Ray Fearon and Fehinti Balogun, has its opening night for press this evening and will run at Theatre Royal Bath's Ustinov Studio until 9 March.

Transport Group has announced that its annual A Toast to the Artist gala will honor Tony Award-winning orchestrator Michael Starboin and composer Carmel Dean with the Transporting American Theatre Award. The evening takes place Monday, March 11 at 6:30pm at The Current, Pier 59 @ Chelsea Piers, and includes a cocktail party, seated dinner, performances, dessert reception, and silent and live auctions. The Transporting American Theatre Award recognizes significant contributions to the American Theatre. Past recipients of the Transporting American Theatre Award include Dick Scanlan, Mary- Mitchell Campbell, Michael John LaChiusa, Gretchen Shugart, Barbara Whitman, Beth Williams, Sue Frost, Christian Borle, Paul Huntley, Douglas Carter Beane, Lewis Flinn, A.R.
