New York Live Arts (Live Arts) to present the world premiere of Molly Lieber and Eleanor Smith's Body Comes Apart, March 6-9, 2019, having commissioned the work as part of the Live Feed Residency Program. The duo, Bessie Award nominees in choreography and Lieber recipient in outstanding performance, continue their experimental 10-year creative practice using abstraction as a means of confronting trauma. Based on a dynamic improvisational score, Body Comes Apart embraces the potentialities of bodies to challenge perceptions of female identity.

Late last year, Australian pscyhe-pop band Methyl Ethel announced their forthcoming album, Triage out next month on 4AD. Today, they share the single and accompanying video for 'Trip The Mains.' 'It's got a sharp, '80s new wave-ish backdrop, but main member Jake Webb brings it into the now with a catchy vocal performance that fans of MGMT and Phoenix might dig,' said Brooklyn Vegan. Webb says of the track, 'behind every eye-twitch, a depleted mainframe barely pulses. 'Trip The Mains' is my moment of short circuiting.' The video features Webb suspended in time, defying the laws of gravity, and crashing into beds in this abstract fantasy directed by Matt Sav.

Chase Brock, the contemporary choreographer behind the Broadway-bound production Be More Chill and the Artistic Director of Brooklyn-based dance company The Chase Brock Experience, announced today that the company will hold its annual gala following a special performance of The Girl with the Alkaline Eyes on Monday, January 7 at 7:00pm. Today, Methyl Ethel have announced their new album, Triage will be released February 15th on 4AD. Today, they share the single from the forthcoming album along with the accompanying video for 'Real Tight,' directed by Matt Sav. 'Real Tight' is one of the most pop-adjacent tracks [Webb has] ever made, complete with a swelling chorus and some of the most achingly personal lyrics in the Methyl Ethel canon,' Said Noisey. 'Known for filling his verses with abstractions, 'Real Tight' finds Webb making things plain and simple 'I cannot lie/ I don't feel right,' he sings on the track's chorus, a simple plea that's striking in how forward it is, compared to earlier Methyl Ethel songs.' Triage marks the Perth, Australia band's third album. It was written, produced and performed by lead singer Jake Webb, mixed by Marta Salogni and mastered by Heba Kadry. The album was recorded in Webb's home studio in West Perth and is available for pre-order today.

Jacob G. Padron, 38, has been named the new Artistic Director of Long Wharf Theatre and will begin his role February 1, 2019.

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (CDT) is decked for the holidays and offers twelve ways to celebrate the season in 2018. On the Main Stage is IRVING BERLIN'S HOLIDAY INN. Theatre Royal Bath today announces A Season of UK Premieres from the Americas at the Ustinov Studio opening next month. The Model Apartment by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies, directed by Laurence Boswell will run from 22 November to 22 December with opening night for press on 28 November. This will be followed by Tanya Barfield's play with music, Blue Door, directed by Eleanor Rhode from 7 February to 9 March 2019, and a third production, to be announced, will complete the season.

A celebration of the life and Broadway legacy of Marin Mazzie will take place at the Gershwin Theatre today, October 25th, beginning at 1:30pm, for friends, family and the theatre community. There will be performances and testimonials from loved ones and theatre colleagues to pay tribute to the three-time Tony Award nominee who passed away on September 13th after a three-year tenacious struggle with ovarian cancer. A dimming of all the marquees on Broadway took place on September 19th as a sign of the impact Marin made through her many appearances on Broadway and concert stages throughout the country.

Victory Gardens Theater continues its 44th season with the World Premiere of Rightlynd, written by Ike Holter and directed by Lisa Portes with original music by Charlie Coffeen.
