Boston Ballet presents the coming-of-age fairytale The Sleeping Beauty by Marius Petipa with additional choreography by Sir Frederick Ashton. Hailed as one of the Company's trademark works, this quintessential production features soaring music by Peter Ilych Tchaikovsky and sumptuous sets and costumes by Emmy Award-winning designer David Walker. 

Broadcast Music, Inc.®, (BMI®) and the Apollo Theater partner to present BMI's renowned 'How I Wrote That Song' panel at the Harlem Theater. The panel discussion, which is also presented as part of the Apollo Theater Education Career Panel series, will provide an opportunity for aspiring songwriters and composers to learn about the craft of songwriting from today's Latin music hitmakers. BMI, will present its popular series, which is open to the public and free of charge, at the iconic Theater on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m., panel begins at 6:30 p.m.

Theater J, the nation's pre-eminent professional Jewish theater, announces its 2017-2018 season, comprised of six diverse plays, including one world premiere and two regional premieres.  Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr has selected works by Jonathan Safran Foer, Alfred Uhry, Nilo Cruz, Mark St. Germain, Karen Hartman and Lindsay Joelle, as well as a stellar line-up of directors and actors.

The 2017-2018 Broadway in Wilmington series at The Playhouse on Rodney Square was announced today at a special launch event. Celebrated American pianist George Winston will release a cancer research benefit album, Spring Carousel, on RCA Records on March 31, 2017. Spring Carousel features a collection of 15 solo piano compositions written by Winston while in recovery from a bone marrow transplant for Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) at City of Hope, in Duarte, California, near Los Angeles. A special concert featuring the string section of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra has been added to the Company's 2016 fall season. On Today, December 8, the 40 violins, violas, cellos and basses of the acclaimed Opera Orchestra will command the spotlight in San Francisco Opera Orchestra Up Close: The Strings a program featuring works by Mozart, Grieg and early 20th-century composers Ruth Crawford Seeger and John Ireland.
