Mary Dimino To Headline Historic Old Schoolhouse

Delaware County Chamber of Commerce is proud to present Cabin Fever Comedy at the historic Old Schoolhouse Stage in Downsville, Saturday February 18th. Headlining the event is award-winning New York City comedian Mary Dimino and featuring is Last Comic Standing finalist Mike Bocchetti. The night is brought to you by Delaware County's own Joanne Genelle.

Listed on the National Register of historical places, The Old Schoolhouse was built in 1903 as an authentic Union Free school, with academic classes starting in 1906 and ending in 1939. Tom and Julie Markert purchased the Old Schoolhouse and performed major restorations which included remodeling the upstairs into an event space. Today the cherished landmark venue features performances and dinner shows amid its original tin ceilings and victorian windows.

Headliner of the evening Mary Dimino, is a MAC award winner for Outstanding Female Comedian and a Gracie Allen award winning actress. Dimino earned the New York International Fringe Festival Overall Excellence Award for Outstanding Solo Show for her one woman play Scared Skinny, penned & performed by the comedian. Shortly after, her first book Scared Skinny No More, was published by Sunbury Press and debuted #10 on their best seller list.

Mary Dimino is a familiar face on television, with appearances including NBC's Today Show, FOX's Laughs, PBS, HBO's Chris Rock Show, VH-1's Best Week Ever, Comedy Central's Graham Norton Effect, NY-1, Sirius XM's Leiberman Live, American Movie Classics Interstitial Comedy, sketches on Late Shows with David Letterman and Conan O'Brien, SNL, the role of Polly on New York Undercover, and numerous national commercials. Currently Dimino can been seen in national network ads for Life Reimagined and Sheba.

In theaters, Mary Dimino has played Connie the Maid of Honor in Tony & Tina's Wedding, Carmella in Surprise, and Vidalia in the off-Broadway hit My Big Gay Italian Funeral at St. Luke's Theater. Mary Dimino's latest one woman show, Big Dummy: Me & My Old Man runs regularly at The Thirteenth Street Rep and recently won a United Solo Award of Theatre Row. She is a regular member of the internationally touring stand-up comedy/improv troupe The Italian Chicks.

Featuring in Cabin Fever Comedy is Mike Bocchetti, an actor/comedian from New York City. He has appeared in Louis CK's groundbreaking FX comedy television series Louie, The Howard Stern Show, Jim Breuer Show and acted with Robert DeNiro in the feature film The Family. Bocchetti is announcer for The Artie Lange Show, airing on DirecTV and Sirius XM.

Broadway actress Joanne Ganelle will host the event. Ganelle played Bebe in Dance a Little Closer at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway and on television she had the role of Pauline Breeder in Law & Order.

Mary Dimino's performance dates for Cabin Fever Comedy are Saturday February 18, 2017 at 7:00pm and 10:00 pm.
