Strange Bedfellows Theatre, known for its integrated, experiential approach to producing theatre, proudly announces the Professional World Premiere of Badfic Love by Adam Pasen and directed by Aaron Henrickson. Badfic Love will be presented at The Den Theatre, 1333 N Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago, for 15 performances, April 3 - May 2, 2015. The Press Opening is scheduled for Monday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Drama of Works to Present BLOOD RED ROSES: THE FEMALE PIRATE PROJECT, 5/11-31

Casting for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's 2015 production of J.M Barrie's Peter Pan has today been announced, with lead casting for The Seagull and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers also confirmed. The season opens for previews on 15 May.

Sunday 15 March marks the centenary of the date that George Llewelyn Davies died in action during the First World War. George was the eldest of the Llewelyn Davies children and, along with brother Michael, was one of J.M.Barrie's favourite boys who inspired him to create the characters of Peter Pan and the lost boys. To honour this pivotal date, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in association with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, releases images from the J.M. Barrie archive, including the last letter written to Barrie by George Llewelyn Davies from the trenches the day before his death at the age of 21.

Obsidian Art Space's WHAT EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW by Monica Byrne is a theatrical drama incorporating elements of dance and fantasy into a story about young women slowly discovering their empowerment of self during a time when society would keep them ignorant and powerless. Set in 1914, the play uses the plight of 4 teenagers to give us a look at the tragic effects of denying women control of their own bodies. The story is gripping and made even more fascinating with its swift direction from Tom Stell and its able cast of four.

On Site Opera has garnered considerable acclaim for its immersive, site-specific productions since stage director Eric Einhorn founded it just three years ago. This summer, the company kicks off its most ambitious undertaking to date:The Figaro Project. On Site Opera will offer lesser-known operatic adaptations of French playwright Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais' (1732-1799) famed trilogy of Figaro plays: The Barber of Seville (1775), The Marriage of Figaro (1784) and The Guilty Mother(1792). The Figaro Project will reacquaint audiences with their favorite Beaumarchais' characters in new and unexpected ways in non-traditional venues across New York City.

Tony Award-winning costume designer, JESS GOLDSTEIN (currently represented on Broadway with Jersey Boys and On the Town), and scenic designer DOUGLAS W. SCHMIDT are among the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, May 1, at 6:30pm, at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Goldstein was selected to receive the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Schmidt will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.

Yara Arts Group Adds HITTING BEDROCK to Season

With a decisive battle mounting in the Eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk, Yara Arts Group has chosen to replace its upcoming production of 'Dark Night Bright Stars,' a play based on the friendship of a Ukrainian painter with an African-American actor in 1858, with 'Hitting Bedrock,' a new work based on first-person testimonials of refugees from Donetsk and people stranded there. La MaMa E.T.C. will present the piece February 20 to March 8 in its First Floor Theater 74A East Fourth Street, Manhattan. Virlana Tkacz directs.

'Dark Night Bright Stars' by Yara Arts Group, directed by Virlana Tkacz, recreates the meeting of Taras Shevchenko (1814-1861), the great Ukrainian poet and painter, and Ira Aldridge (1807-1867), the African-American actor who was much honored in Europe.
