Additional casting was announced today for Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schonberg's Tony Award-winning musical masterpiece LES MISERABLES, which returns to Broadway beginning Saturday, March 1 at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). The official opening night for LES MISERABLES is Sunday, March 23.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director, Manhattan Theatre Club), Barry Grove (Executive Producer, MTC), Mandy Greenfield (Artistic Producer, MTC), Jason Eagan (Artistic Director, Ars Nova), and Jeremy Blocker (Managing Director, Ars Nova) have announced the 2013-2014 participants for The Writer's Room a new program to commission, develop and support playwrights in the process of creating new work for the stage.

MTV2 today announced that “Guy Court,” a new half-hour, 10 episode series from the creator and producers of MTV's “Girl Code” and MTV2's “Guy Code,” will premiere on MTV2 tonight, November 6 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, popular and influential songwriter and guitarist Lou Reed, most known for forming Velvet Underground has died at 71 according to Rolling Stone. No cause of death was revealed, but it's been noticed that the performer received a liver transplant back in May of 2013. BroadwayWorld remembers Reed with photos below.

A new fall course at Drexel University, entitled "Imaging War," examines how the subject of war has been depicted in media ranging from photography to television to video games.

Bruce Graham, author of The Outgoing Tide playing through Oct. 13 at Chenango River Theatre, will be coming in to see the production on Friday, Oct. 4. He will stay after the show to participate in the theatre's traditional second Friday "TalkBack". The TalkBack is an opportunity for the audience to ask questions of the director, cast and in this case, the author, about the play.

Chance Theater presents the fourth show of its 15th Anniversary Season - the Tony nominated drama Time Stands Still by renowned playwright Donald Margulies, and directed by Marya Mazor. The national tour of Roundabout Theatre Company's ANYTHING GOES, the new Broadway revival of Cole Porter's timeless classic musical theatre masterpiece, will make its Orange County premiere tonight, September 24 - 29 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts as part of the Curtain Call Series.
