Theatre Royal Stratford East today announces its 2022/23 season. The season includes Anthony Neilson's poignant and comical delve into the nature of mental illness, The Wonderful World of Dissocia, directed by Emma Baggott, which opens in September 2022.

FRIGID New York will present the 13th Annual The Fire This Time Festival at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery), July 7-10 with performances on Thursday, July 7 at 7pm, Friday, July 8 at 7pm, Saturday, July 9th at 2pm, Saturday, July 9th at 7pm, and Sunday, July 10th at 3pm.

Released in partnership with Pivotal Records, a division of Pivotal Moments Media, JACOB, is an 11-track musical experience that discloses vulnerable truths. Herndon derived the album title from the Biblical Old Testament figure, Jacob, who dealt with severe challenges and mistakes before rising to become a leader of his tribe. 

Centerstage is pleased to present Yellow Fever by Rick Shiomi, a noir-genre detective thriller set in the Pacific Northwest, and told through the lens of the Japanese and Chinese immigrant communities in the 1970s. The shadows of the internment camps linger over a vibrant community as it fights to establish itself just a few decades after losing so much. In the midst of it all is detective Sam Shikaze, a nisei private eye...and he’s got a story to tell.

The Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance springs forward with the 21st annual BOOGIE DOWN DANCE SERIES that began Saturday, April 23 and continues to Friday, May 27 at BAAD!, 2474 Westchester Square in the Westchester Square section of the Bronx.  Alethea Pace, a Bronx-based award-winning dancer/choreographer premieres “Here Goes the Neighborhood,” a multimedia performance work that conjures Bronx memories born from turmoil and resilience. The festival also includes the inaugural event igniting the year-long 10th anniversary celebration of Dancing While Black (DWB).

The North American tour of Disney’s The Lion King is celebrating its 20th anniversary today, Wednesday, April 27 in Wichita, where the award-winning musical begins a two-week return engagement tonight at The Century II Concert Hall and plays through Sunday, May 8, 2022.

The Plano Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce Shira Samuels-Shragg will be joining Maestro Hector Guzman as Assistant Conductor ahead of the orchestra’s 40th Anniversary Season. Shira is a young American conductor in her final year pursuing a Masters in Orchestral Conducting at the Juilliard School with highly-sought after conductor David Robertson. This full-time position is funded by a generous donation from Tammy and Charles Miller. Shira will assume her role on August 22, 2022.

Change is coming for the Ojai Playwrights Conference. Artistic Director/Producer Robert Egan has decided to step down at the end of 2022, OPC’s 25th Anniversary Season. Egan has led the organization for 21 years, bringing the Ojai Playwrights Conference to national attention and making it one of the leading new play development programs in the U.S.

Featuring a book by Alfred Uhry and music & lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, Parade shares the story of Leo and Lucille Frank, and the murder trial that gripped the small town of Marietta, Georgia in 1913. The musical won the 1998 Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Original score.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the Summer Season 2022 full of pomp, pageantry, politics, and power.

The US-China Music Institute of the Bard College Conservatory of Music will present The Sound of Spring: A Chinese New Year Concert conducted by Director of the US-China Music Institute Jindong Cai with The Orchestra Now (TŌN) performing.

New England Conservatory has announced their spring 2022 Season. Highlights include NEC Wind Ensemble and Choirs offer a 50th anniversary celebration of the Wind Ensemble by presenting Igor Stravinsky's 'Symphony of Psalms,' and the world premiere commission of Chris Brubeck's first wind ensemble piece, 'Fifty'.

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music and San Francisco Ballet announced today a fellowship that will provide Black musicians with tuition, housing, and a stipend for SFCM's one-year Professional Studies Certificate in Instrumental Performance and the opportunity to play rehearsals and shows with the SF Ballet Orchestra, as well as other training and support.
