Following the success of its fall productions of Puccini's beloved La Fanciulla del West and the New York premiere of Tobias Picker's Dolores Claiborne, New York City Opera continues the 2017/2018 season in January 2018 with the New York premiere of Jos 'Pepe' Mart nez and Leonard Foglia's Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, the world's first mariachi opera.

The Pacific Standard Time Festival: Live Art LA/LA, a celebration of performance art presented as part of the Getty-led initiative Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA, will run from January 11 through 21, 2018. Organized by REDCAT, CalArts' Center for Contemporary Arts, in collaboration with partner organizations throughout the city, the 11-day festival will feature more than 75 works by Latin American and Latino artists, performed at more than 20 indoor and outdoor spaces throughout greater Los Angeles. Supported by a major grant from the Getty Foundation, events will range from large-scale, site-specific performances to multi-artist evenings and will be presented in parks, plazas, galleries, theaters, and busy urban settings.

Raven Theatre is pleased to announce its 2018-19 Season, kicking off this fall with the sharp and boisterous play CRUMBS FROM THE TABLE OF JOY by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage (Sweat, Ruined). Tyrone Phillips directs this drama about family, faith and revolution.

The Lark announces that after a five year hiatus, its BareBones program will return in March 2018, with a workshop production of In the Middle by Donja R. Love (soft, Sugar in Our Wounds) to be directed by Saheem Ali (Twelfth Night, The Public Theater). In the Middle is the third and final play in Love's trilogy, The Love* Plays, a surrealistic exploration of *Queer Love during pivotal moments in Black History: Slavery (Sugar in Our Wounds), The Civil Rights Movement (Fireflies), and the Black Lives Matter movement (In the Middle). The workshop will run at The Lark's BareBones Studio from March 2 11, 2018, at 311 West 43rd Street, 5th Floor, in New York City.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra presents Sci-Fi Spectacular, featuring music from Star Wars, Star Trek and more, January 6 7 in Newark and New Brunswick. Marina Sirtis, best known as counselor Deanna Troi on the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation and the four feature films that followed, hosts.

Theatre Exile continues its 2017/2018 season with Really by Jackie Sibblies Drury. In the studio she once shared with her boyfriend Calvin, a photographer poses Calvin's mother for a portrait. Like many artists, she struggles to capture on film what she envisions in her mind. As the photo shoot progresses, the women grapple with their memories of the man who was once the center of their lives.

Skylight Music Theatre Artistic Director Ray Jivoff today announced the full cast, creative team and band for Zombies from The Beyond, an out-of-this-world musical comedy written and composed by Milwaukee native James Valcq. Straight from a sold-out run in NYC, 'The Fridge Plays' - Daniel Talbott's 'Nick and Zoe', directed by Shira-Lee Shalit and Steve McMahon's 'sad indie love song', directed by Benjamin Viertel - hit Catskill's intimate Bridge Street Theatre stage like a punch to the gut for two performances today and Saturday, December 1st and 2nd, at 7:30pm.

Both works, with the libretto and music by Mr. Getty, will be sung in English and have a running time of 60 minutes each.
