Hudson Hall at the historic Hudson Opera House in Hudson, New York, will present Vowel Movements, a subversive evening of song with drag artist Pretty Lamé (professional tenor Joshua Sanders) and pianist David Sytkowski on Saturday, June 3rd at 7pm.

Many musicians were out of work in 2020, and during a time of uncertainty and unemployment, mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke raised funds to commission over 30 artists to create 17 new songs. These composers and librettists collaborated with her to create the GRAMMY-nominated album how do i find you. 

On May 25 at 7:30PM, the internationally acclaimed opera star brings her program to Kaufman Music Center's Merkin Hall with pianist Kirill Kuzmin.

Enjoy popular arias from Pagliacci, Daughter of the Regiment, Tosca , Madama Butterfly, Samson and Delilah, La Traviata and Tannhauser performed by award winning sopranos with interpretation by narrator Tania Eicoff.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's classic THE MAGIC FLUTE opens this week at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Saturday November 16, 2019; under the baton of James Conlon (with Grant Gershon conducting on December 1, 12 and 15). This will be the third LA Opera mounting of 1927 and Barrie Kosky's avant-garde THE MAGIC FLUTE merging animation with live performance. Mezzo-Soprano Emily D'Angelo from Canada/Italy and Tenor Pavel Petrov from Belarus, have just been announced as the First Prize Winners of Operalia's 26th edition. D'Angelo also claimed the Birgit Nilsson Prize, the Pepita Embil Prize for Zarzuela and the Prize of the Audience for a first-time-ever clean sweep of all top honors in Operalia's 26 years history.

Legendary ballet costume designer HOLLY HYNES and costume and scenic designer ZACK BROWN are among the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients which were just announced by TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. Ms. Hynes was selected to receive the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Brown will receive the Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).
