The 2018-19 Cleveland Orchestra Music Study Groups will begin on September 25, 26, and 27, 2018 at convenient community locations throughout the Greater Cleveland area. The classes explore music from The Cleveland Orchestra's 2018-19 Season at Severance Hall.

Long Island's newest theatrical venue The Argyle Theatre (Evan Pappas, Artistic Director) presents the Tony Award winning hit Broadway musical Hairspray with book by Marc O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island).  Performances are set to begin Thursday, July 12, 2018 for a limited run through Sunday, August 26, 2018. 

Austin Opera, Ballet Austin, Paramount Theatre And Zach Theatre Announce The 2018–19 ATX Arts Pass

Austin's four premier nonprofit performing arts organizations-Austin Opera, Ballet Austin, The Paramount Theatre, and ZACH Theatre-have partnered to create the ATX Arts Pass. The 2018-19 ATX Arts Pass gives a taste of Austin's performing arts organizations at one low price with four hand-picked performances: Shinyribs (The Paramount Theatre), The Nutcracker (Ballet Austin), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (ZACH Theatre), and La boheme (Austin Opera). ATX Arts Pass holders are encouraged to have their passport stamped at all four events, allowing them the opportunity to attend a special Passport Holder Season End Celebration.

The Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University (CBA), the first international institute devoted to the creation and academic study of ballet, today announced the 27 artists and scholars who will serve as CBA Fellows in the 2018-19 academic year. The group - which represents The Center's largest and most far-reaching cohort yet - features distinguished individuals in a range of disciplines, including scholar Cecile Feza Bushidi, lighting designer Brandon Stirling Baker, choreographer Chase Brock, choreographer, filmmaker, and dancer Pontus Lidberg, and scholar Janice Ross, among others.

The 2017-18 Cleveland Orchestra Music Study Groups will begin on September 19, 20, and 21, 2017 at convenient community locations throughout the Greater Cleveland area.  The classes will explore music from The Cleveland Orchestra's 100th Season at Severance Hall.  The series is organized into three parts so registrants may choose a series length to best fit their schedule - selecting from fall, winter, and/or spring.  Music Study Groups are presented by the Orchestra with support from Friends of The Cleveland Orchestra (formerly known as Women's Committee of The Cleveland Orchestra) and other generous donors to the education programs of The Cleveland Orchestra.

This 14th annual concert-conducted by Christoph Eschenbach and featuring soprano Renee Fleming-will be released on CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, and digital platforms by Sony Classical on Friday, August 11 and broadcast on PBS's Great Performances on Friday, August 18 at 9 p.m. (check local listings).
