This summer, Apollo's Fire embarks on its fourth international tour, performing with world-renowned violinist, Alina Ibragimova, at the BBC Proms in London (Aug. 15), The Aldeburgh Music/Snape Proms in the UK (Aug. 16), and performing a separate chamber program at the Tuscany Musical Landscapes Festival in Italy (Aug. 21). Apollo's Fire's debut at the BBC Proms will be followed by a VIP reception hosted by the U.S. Embassy Chargé d'Affaires. Additionally, Apollo's Fire presents “Greatest Hits of the 1720s” at the prestigious Tanglewood Festival in Lenox, MA on July 2.

This summer, On Site Opera(OSO) will present a new production that exemplifies the company's mission to stage operas in non-traditional locations ideally suited to the stories they tell. OSO will offer an immersive site-specific staging of Giovanni Paisiello's The Barber of Seville at the opulent Fabbri Mansion (House of the Redeemer) on New York City's Upper East Side. Conducted by the company's newly appointed Music Director,Geoffrey McDonald and directed by OSO's Co-Founder and Artistic Director, Eric Einhorn, the production will be updated to the early decades of the twentieth century (when the Fabbri Mansion was built) and staged in themansion's outdoor courtyard and library.

Imagine Ballet Theatre, an Ogden-based ballet company, is bringing spring to the stage of Peery's Egyptian Theatre, with their colorful production of The Secret Garden this weekend, April 17 and 18, 2015. Ten years ago, Imagine Ballet Theatre, with the direction and choreography of Artistic Director Raymond Van Mason and a magical score composed exclusively for the company by Kurt Bestor, brought the literary masterpiece of Francis Hodgson Burnett to life. To further celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Imagine Ballet Theatre's The Secret Garden, the composer Kurt Bestor will be conducting the live orchestra.

Acclaimed British actor Earl Carpenter will return to the role of Javert in Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Claude-Michel Schonberg & Alain Boublil's LES MISERABLES beginning Tuesday, May 12 at Broadway's Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). Will Swenson will give his final performance as Javert Sunday, May 10. Carpenter performed the role on Broadway last summer while Swenson was on hiatus from the production for another project.

The Met's first new production in 45 years of the enduringly popular verismo double bill, Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, will open April 14.

Wolfe, and Savion Glover will team up to collaborate on SHUFFLE ALONG, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, a musical about the events that led to the creation of the groundbreaking Eubie Blake-Noble Sissle musical Shuffle Along. Starring Audra McDonald as the 1920's star Lottie Gee, directed by George C. Wolfe -- with a book written by Wolfe -- and choreographed by Savion Glover, the musical marks the first time that the writer/director and choreographer will have worked together since their 1996 hit Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk. Previews will begin Monday, March 14, 2016. Opening night is Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

Baritone Mark Stone, in his New York Philharmonic debut, will replace Simon Keenlyside, who has withdrawn due to illness, in the performances of the U.S. Premiere of Thomas Ades's Totentanz, led by the composer in his Philharmonic conducting debut, and also featuring mezzo- soprano Christianne Stotijn in her Philharmonic debut.
