Classical Greek theatre will take over Classic Stage Company when it begins its 2015/2016 season with the inaugural GREEK FESTIVAL!

The complete cast and creative team have been announced for The Comedy of Errors as The Old Globe's 2015 Summer Shakespeare Festival continues the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration.

The Old Globe presents William Shakespeare's delightful and romantic Twelfth Night, directed by Rebecca Taichman, whose production of the time-traveling Time and the Conways fascinated audiences last April, as part of the 2015 Summer Shakespeare Festival. The Old Globe engagement runs through July 26, 2015, with opening night tonight, June 27 at 8:00 p.m., in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre.

Happy Birthday, Danny Burstein! On Broadway, Burstein's appearances have included A Little Hotel on the Side (1992), Yakov in The Seagull (1992-93), in Saint Joan and Three Men on a Horse (both in 1993), Paul in Company (1995), 1st Officer William Murdoch in Titanic (1997-99), Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone (2006-07), Luther Billis in South Pacific (2008-10), and Taxi Driver in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (2010-11). He played the role of Buddy Plummer in the Kennedy Center production of Follies, which went on to play Broadway's Marquis Theatre and LA's Ahmanson Theatre. He is currently starring in the Roundabout revival of Cabaret, for which he earned a 2014 Tony nomination.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and piece by piece productions have announced that the The Reverend Micah Bucey will moderate a post-show panel discussion following the performance of the world premiere play Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, America, Kuwait, written and directed by Daniel Talbott, tonight, June 16, at The Gym at Judson, 243 Thompson Street. The panelists will include Greg Grandin, Morgan Jenness, and Michael Ratner.

From tonight, May 8 to June 6, 2015, SpeakEasy Stage Company will present the New England Premiere of MOTHERS & SONS, a timely and touching new play about love, loss, and family, written by Terrence McNally.  

Sideshow Theatre Company is pleased to announce its full 2015/16 Season, beginning this fall with the world premiere of Hansol Jung's surreal and mischievous new comedy NO MORE SAD THINGS, directed by Elly Green. Next winter, the season continues with another world premiere, David Jacobi's chilling new drama MAI DANG LAO directed by artistic associate Marti Lyons. The season concludes next spring with CAUGHT, a new, head-spinning collaboration with playwright Christopher Chen, Chicago's Xiong Art Gallery and director Seth Bockley. 59E59 Theaters will welcome acclaimed actor Edward Petherbridge to Brits Off Broadway in MY PERFECT MIND, created by Told by an Idiot, written by Kathryn Hunter, Paul Hunter and Edward Petherbridge, directed by Kathryn Hunter. Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 50th anniversary season with Sticky Traps, a powerful new play by KC Rep's Playwright in Residence, Nathan Louis Jackson, Directed by Resident Director, Kyle Hatley. Sticky Traps focuses on a small town not far from Kansas City, where a mother protects her gay son's honor when his funeral is protested by a local church. Her actions have unintended consequences that will test her whole family - and the power of their love -- in the face of hate. The production begins tonight, April 24th and runs through Sunday, May 24th at Copaken Stage in downtown Kansas City.

The Playwrights Horizons world premiere of IOWA, a new musical play written by Susan Smith Blackburn Prize finalist Jenny Schwartz (God's Ear, Somewhere Fun), music by Todd Almond (Stage Kiss at PH, Kansas City Choir Boy, The Tempest, On the Levee) and lyrics by Mr. Almond and Ms. Schwartz, opens tonight, April 13, 2015.

Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and Jam Theatricals just announced that five-time Tony Award-nominee and Drama Desk & Outer Critics Circle Award winner Danny Burstein (Cabaret, Golden Boy, Follies, South Pacific) will step into the iconic role of Tevye when Fiddler on the Roofbegins performances on Broadway on November 17, 2015. Rehearsals are set to begin September 28, 2015.

Classic Stage Company with terraNOVA Collective in association with The Public Theater, will present two-time Obie Award-winning actress Kathryn Grody in Falling Apart….Together for four evenings in April at CSC (136 East 13th Street). In this one-woman show, Grody strives to be the predictable anchor among rambunctious sons, big personalities, and clashes between who you thought you would grow up to be and who you have become. This brilliant and explosively emotional new one-woman show is as brutally funny as it is brutally honest about what it means to be alive and present in the chaos of today's domestic possibilities. Written by Grody and directed by Timothy Near, Falling Apart…Together will be performed April 19, 20, 26 and 27 only.

Cleveland's Classic Company, crowns its 2014-15 season with William Shakespeare magical masterpiece, THE TEMPEST. The production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, April 10-26, 2014. Drew Barr directs the production.
