Flat Rock Playhouse presents the return of Mutts Gone Nuts - a comedy dog thrill show that promotes the adoption of rescue animals. Deemed 'A Must See' by the Washington Post, expect the unexpected as canines and comedy collide in a smash hit performance, that's leaving audiences everywhere howling for more. From shelters to showbiz, these amazing mutts unleash havoc and hilarity in a breathtaking, action packed, comedy dog spectacular, featuring some of the world's most talented 4 legged performers.

Oh the places you'll go with beloved Dr. Seuss characters The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, and more in Seussical the Musical, a delightful journey imagined by Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Flat Rock Playhouse launches its Studio 52 Family Series with Seussical the Musical, running March 8th through March 25th at the Flat Rock Playhouse Downtown on Main Street in Hendersonville.

It's almost that special day of the year when all the little girls and boys dress up as their favorite characters from television shows, movies, cartoons and picture books. Some may even choose to base their costume on The New York Times best-selling picture book, Pinkalicious.

It might be May, but Flat Rock Playhouse says it's time to pull out the tinsel, hang the mistletoe, and head South for the holidays!  The second of the extremely popular "Greater Tuna" series, a collection of comedic plays set in the fictional town of Tuna (the 3rd smallest town in Texas), A Tuna Christmas will return to the Playhouse Main Stage starring the hilarious Scott Treadway and his (or her) equally hilarious counterpart, Preston Dyar. Though seemingly a two-man show, there will be no lack of characters as these two gentlemen, who have separately been a part of several productions of the Tuna Series, will introduce audiences to over twenty of the town's most colorful characters together for the very FIRST time.  A Tuna Christmas will run on the Main Stage in the Village of Flat Rock from May 19th through June 3rd.

They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway -they say there's always magic in the air… And soon, there will surely be some of that Broadway magic gracing the Flat Rock Playhouse Mainstage, "mountain-style", with the return of the State Theatre's 2007 hit, Smokey Joe's Cafe!

The Vagabonds say, "ready, set, subscribe" for an exciting and jam-packed season line-up.  Today, Flat Rock Playhouse announced the highly anticipated 2017 season of twenty-five productions that make up Flat Rock's Mainstage features, Studio 52 & Family programming, and the popular Music on the Rock series.

The Music of Buddy Holly will run from August 11th through August 21st at The Flat Rock Playhouse Downtown on Main Street in Hendersonville.

Flat Rock Playhouse announced today that producing artistic director Vincent Marini will step down on May 31st to pursue new opportunities. Lisa K. Bryant, currently Flat Rock Playhouse associate artistic director, has been named interim artistic director.
