As previously announced, Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, opens its 2017/18 season with the World Premiere of TREVOR the musical.

WaterTower Theatre is excited to be continuing one of our most talked about and anticipated traditions, the Community Cast Party!  CCP Co-Chairs Stan Graner, Corky Pledger, Deborah Staggs and Maureen Anderson today announced details for the 4th Annual Community Cast Party.  The party will be held on Saturday, September 9th, 2017 at WaterTower 's home, the Addison Theatre Centre from 7 pm to 10 pm.  The Community Cast Party is designed to attract a wide audience of patrons, partiers, and food lovers who are interested in supporting WaterTower Theatre while enjoying an evening of entertainment with cuisine offered from many fine local restaurants.  Attendees will have a unique opportunity to mix and mingle with artists from the DFW theatre community at the "open house" style event, where everyone is welcome.

Today, producers Ken Davenport and Hunter Arnold announced that Tony Award nominee Phillip Boykin, Alysha Deslorieux, Kenita R. Miller, and Isaac Powell are joining the new Broadway production of Once On This Island, which will play the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 W. 50th street, NYC) this fall.

Producers Lorne Michaels and Stuart Thompson have announced casting for the world premiere of the Broadway-bound new musical Mean Girls with a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the Paramount Pictures film; music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond; and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin. Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs.

Barrie's PETER PAN, directed by Eric Tucker, for a limited 47 performance engagement at The Duke on 42nd Street (229 West 42 street) from Saturday, November 11, 2017, through Saturday, December 23, 2017. BEDLAM'S PETER PAN will open Sunday, November 19, 2017.

On Stage at Kingsborough brings top notch performing arts to Southern Brooklyn with an eclectic roster of artists spanning multiple genres including music, dance, and family programming.

Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival , one of New York's premier summer performance series, kicks off its 51st season on July 25. Among the highlights in the first two weeks are a special opening concert led by Louis Langrée, Renée and Robert Belfer Music Director, featuring traditional and indigenous songs from Mozart's time; a choral presentation by Les Arts Florissants; and guest conductors Edward Gardner and Gianandrea Noseda; festival debuts by more than 10 artists, including Kit Armstrong, Janai Brugger, Jennifer Johnson Cano, S? Percussion, Beatrice Rana, Ksenija Sidorova, and the Young People's Chorus of New York City; and the New York premiere of David Lang's concerto for percussion, man made. It is not often that one gets a peek inside the creation of an iconic piece of art, and even rarer to see that story come to life on stage in a full-fledged Broadway musical. But for fans of the classic tale of Peter Pan, the new musical FINDING NEVERLAND, which is the opening production in The Bushnell's 2017 - 2018 Broadway series, does just that. Based on the Academy Award-winning film by David Magee and the play THE MAN WHO WAS PETER PAN by Allen Knee, FINDING NEVERLAND tells the story of author J.M. Barrie and his relationship with the family that inspired him to write one of the most beloved stories of all time. When FINDING NEVERLAND makes its way to Hartford August 1 - 6, the cast will include Sarah Charles who plays in the ensemble and also understudies the roles of Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and Mary Barrie. I had the pleasure of catching up with Sarah and discussing the life of an understudy and her perspective on bringing this beautiful story to life on stage.

Curvy Widow, a new musical comedy with a book by Bobby Goldman, music and lyrics by Drew Brody (Broadway: Oh Hello; Cutman), and directed by Peter Flynn (Rhapsody in Seth; Two Rooms), will play at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

CABRILLO MUSIC THEATRE presents one of the most beloved family friendly musicals of all time with the third and final show in its 2016-2017 season, PETER PAN, with music by Mark "Moose" Charlap and Jule Styne, lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and Betty Comden and Adolph Green, based on J.M. Barrie's unforgettable story, musical direction by Dan Redfeld, choreography by Cheryl Baxter and direction by Yvette Lawrence. Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will release all single tickets for the 2017-18 season for sale on Monday, July 31, including tickets for the 27th annual production of the beloved classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL and the much- anticipated SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE production, which opens the season on Sept. 2.

Ingrid Michaelson has more than one reason to celebrate this summer. Following the release of her latest EP, Alter Egos, the multi-platinum recording artist is calling the Imperial Theatre home, playing Sonya in the Tony Award-winning musical NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812. Michaelson's trip to Imperial Russia will be brief, as the songstress will only be performing the role through August 15, while Brittain Ashford, who originated the role takes a temporary leave from the show.

Music Theater Works (formerly Light Opera Works) presents GYPSY, the tale of an ambitious stage mother fighting for her daughters' success, at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston, August 19 through 27. A 25-piece orchestra accompanies such well-known songs as "Everything's Coming Up Roses," "Let Me Entertain You" and "Some People."

The Hollywood Bowl has announced that Sarah Uriarte Berry, Philip Boykin, and Jonathan Groff will complete the cast for a benefit performance of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, conceived and directed on Broadway by James Lapine.
