A couple of weeks ago, Actors' Equity Association ended its strike against the Broadway League related to development of new work. Most of the press regarding the strike and its termination are related to the Lab Agreement-after the strike, and a #NotALabRat social media movement, Equity members will receive profit participation for Labs. But there is a lot of the story that this spin misses.

Rising alt rock band Liily, a crew of teenagers hailing from deep in the San Fernando Valley, are premiering the lo-fi music video for their latest single 'Sepulveda Basin' today. The band shares, 'this video is about a place we all spent a lot of time in when we were kids and bored out of our minds and looking for friends and something/anything to do.'

Jackie Greene's music video for “Fragile and Wanting”, the heartfelt and earnest ballad from his 2018 release The Modern Lives Vol. 2, wasreleased on Friday via Relix Magazine.  Directed by Anthony Simpkins of GemsOnVHS, “Fragile and Wanting” paints a picture of tender memories interspersed with some visual trickery allowing Jackie to appear as every member of the band in a live performance, as he did on the record, playing every instrument himself.  Greene told Relix Magazine, “Like most romantics, I've always been a sucker for a sappy ballad.  Especially the kind you listen to privately, on headphones. This is that type of song. Meant to be enjoyed alone. On headphones. But, if you end up blasting it in your car while you cruise around on the weekend, that's cool too. Skylight Music Theatre announced the cast and creative team for Five Guys Named Moe, a joyful, jazzy tribute to Louis Jordan, the 1940s rhythm and blues singer, songwriter and bandleader.

Sarah Brightman has announced that YOSHIKI will join her live on stage for select dates of her 2019 HYMN World Tour, including concerts at New York's Radio City Music Hall, the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, The Masonic in San Francisco, and Yokohama Arena in Japan.  

IMG Artists, today's leading global performing arts management agency, announces a 36-city North American tour with multi-genre recording artist Damien Sneed. The Sphinx Medal of Excellence recipient will bring his brand of classical, jazz, and gospel music to “We Shall Overcome: A Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., featuring Damien Sneed.” The tour will kick off on Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Empire Center at The Egg in Albany, NY, and will make stops at concert halls and universities in the U.S. and Canada. American Idol winner and Hollywood Records/Industrial Media's 19 Recordings recording artist, Maddie Poppe, has announced her highly-anticipated next single, “Keep On Movin' On,” due for release October 26th. The song was written by Jarrad Kritzstein (Kate Nash, Weezer), Brandon Lowry (Brittney Spears, Elle King) and Hillary Lindsey (Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini). The release marks her first original music since her Idol release, “Going Going Gone.” Maddie will perform the single for the first time on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan on October 26th.
