New York Live Arts announces the 2014 Theater Access Program - a comprehensive rental program that provides performance space and resources to a diverse group of self-producing artists of all disciplines. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, beloved as one of the world's most popular dance companies, will return to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts with four different programs for a 15-performance engagement at the David H. Koch Theater June 11 - 22, 2014.

Gay & Lesbian Center previously announced that '90s female rock group 4 Non Blondes will reunite for a one-time, special performance at the 2014 'An Evening with Women' (AEWW) event produced by Grammy Award-winner Linda Perry on Saturday, May 10th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Actress and singer Evan Rachel Wood will join the stage as a special guest performer and comedian Margaret Cho will host the annual event, which is always attended by some of the most influential women in music and entertainment.

Closing Aurora Theatre Company's 22nd season is David Mamet's powerful, fast-paced drama AMERICAN BUFFALO. The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. Smuin Ballet closes its 20th Anniversary Season with two World Premieres and a Michael Smuin classic, touring the Bay Area May 2 - June 7, 2014 in the XXcentric Spring Dance Series. The program will feature one act of Michael Smuin's ebullient Dancin' With Gershwin ballet, back on the Smuin stage for the first time since 2008. XXcentric will also include World Premieres from Smuin's Choreographer in Residence Amy Seiwert and Val Caniparoli, internationally renowned choreographer and principal character dancer at San Francisco Ballet. The XXcentric Spring Dance Series will kick off its tour at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco (May 2-11), continuing at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek (May 16-17); the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts (May 21-25); and at the Sunset Center in Carmel (June 6-7). Esteemed American composer, musician, educator, recording artist and philosopher Anthony Braxton continues his 69thbirthday season with the premiere of his latest multimedia opera, Trillium J (The Non-Unconfessionables) at Roulette in Brooklyn April 17–19. Admired for their versatility on stage, ten Smuin Ballet dancers will be taking off their dance shoes and inviting audiences to experience their talents as choreographers and more in XXPERIMENTS - Choreography Showcase. SITI Company's Board of Directors announces that Executive Director Megan Wanlass will step down from the Company following 19 years of transformational service. Wanlass joined SITI as Stage Manager in 1995, eventually becoming Managing Director and then Executive Director in 2000. During her tenure, SITI grew into a fiscally stable and internationally renowned theater ensemble. Wanlass helped to create over 35 productions, which premiered in or toured to 88 cities, 32 states and 19 countries. Most recently, she played a significant role in the successful launch of SITI's new year-round Conservatory. Wanlass and her family are relocating to the Los Angeles area where she will serve as Managing Director for Cornerstone Theater Company.
