Chuck Tobin, producing artistic director of the Saint Michael's Playhouse professional summer theater, just announced the 63rd Playhouse season to run from June 15 to August 7, 2010, with four productions: 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, June 15-25; AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, June 29-July 10; BLITHE SPIRIT, July 13-25, and ALWAYS . . . PATSY CLINE, July 27- August 7.

Pulitzer Prize-winner Gian Carlo Menotti, whose works included a string of operas that played Broadway in the '40s and '50s, has died at the age of 95. He passed away of in a hospital in Monaco on Thursday, February 1st.
