The New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep) will present the world premiere of Chloe Hung's Issei, He Say (Or the Myth of the First) from April 19 to May 20. The winner of of an Edgerton New Play Award, it is directed by Lisa James and stars Stan Egi, Kathleen Kwan, Fenton Li, and Christina Liang. Broadwayworld.com had the pleasure of interviewing playwright, Chloe Hung about her career and the upcoming show.

Broadway star Andy Mientus, who will play Tommy in the DCPA Theatre Company's upcoming stage production of 'The Who's Tommy,' based on the seminal concept album, performed songs from the musical on March 26, 2018, at the Alamo Drafthouse Denver, with proceeds benefiting The Denver Actors Fund. Mientus sang 'Sensation.' Guitar by Dave Devine. The live entertainment preceded a screening of Ken Russell's cult-classic film adaptation on the 43rd anniversary of its London release. Genre defying R&B/Soul goddess Deva Mahal is set to release her much-anticipated debut album Run Deep on March 23 via Motéma Music, fresh off the success of her self-titled introductory EP. On New Year's Eve 1969, Jimi Hendrix's electronic blues trio, Band of Gypsys, played at New York City's Fillmore East Auditorium.
