On August 26, 1968, two weeks after releasing his civil rights anthem, 'Say It Loud - I'm Black And I'm Proud,' James Brown recorded his concert at Dallas, Texas' Memorial Auditorium. First released on CD in 1998, Brown's Say It Live and Loud: Live in Dallas 08.26.68 album will make its vinyl debut in an expanded 2LP 50 th Anniversary Edition, to be released October 12 by Republic/UMe. The album's new, expanded digital edition will be released on the same date.

Led by the Master of Ceremonies (Totia Meireles), a theatrical troupe tells the story of Prince Pippin (Felipe de Carolis), son and heir to the throne of King Charlemagne (Jonas Bloch). Sony Classical announces the September 7, 2018 US release of Birgit Nilsson: The Great Live Recordings, a 31-CD set celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Swedish soprano. This limited edition brings together a collection of outstanding live recordings from the main centers of Nilsson's brilliant career: the Met in New York, the Bayreuth Festival, the Vienna State Opera, plus rarities from her concerts in Stockholm.  All the recordings were newly remastered in 2017 from the original analogue tapes.

London Classic Theatre today announces the full company for their UK tour of Charlotte Keatley's My Mother Said I Never Should. Artistic Director of LCT, Michael Cabot, directs Felicity Houlbrooke (Rosie Metcalfe), Fiz Marcus (Doris Partington), Kathryn Ritchie (Jackie Metcalfe) and Connie Walker (Margaret Bradley). The production tours to 14 venues, opening at Theatre Royal Windsor on 25 September with performances at Queen's Hall Arts Centre, Hexham, Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds and Gala Theatre, Durham from 11 September.

Elvis Presley's legendary "'68 Comeback Special," directed and produced by Steve Binder, will hit the big screen this summer in celebration of its 50th anniversary. The two-day cinema event will take place across the globe on August 16, with an encore screening on August 20. Each screening will include the legendary television special, plus an exclusive look at the making of the special, featuring a walkthrough of the NBC soundstage with insights from Binder and others influenced by Presley, his music, and this iconic event. This brand new content is produced by Spencer Proffer, CEO of Meteor 17, and ABG's Marc Rosen, SVP of Entertainment.

The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. Today, The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Most have announced that Lisa Wong has been named Director of Choruses for The Cleveland Orchestra, effective immediately. The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus is one of the few professionally trained, all-volunteer choruses sponsored by a major American orchestra. Its members hail from nearly fifty Cleveland-area communities and together contribute more than 15,000 volunteer hours to the Orchestra's music-making each year. Wong will hold the Frances P. and Chester C. Bolton Director of Choruses Endowed Chair.

When Houston Grand Opera (HGO) opened its first season in Houston's new opera house at the Wortham Theater Center in 1987, world-renowned tenor Placido Domingo starred in Verdi's Aida. Now, just over 30 years later, Domingo will again take the Wortham stage on September 26 for HGO and Placido-Coming Home!, a gala evening celebrating the company's return to its creative home after a year of displacement following Hurricane Harvey. Joined by beloved Houston soprano Ana Maria Martinez and the HGO Orchestra conducted by HGO Artistic and Music Director Patrick Summers, Domingo will perform an evening of operatic and popular musical favorites. The concert, which begins at 7 p.m., will be followed by a celebration dinner in the Ballroom at Bayou Place.
