From Harrison Stengle, the director/writer of the off-off Broadway show Sword of the Unicorn comes GATZ, a post-modernist post-apocalyptic vaporwave infused interracial parody onThe Great Gatsby. This new work runs Friday, September 8, 7:00 p.m.-Sunday, September 24 at the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre, 2111 Samson Street. The New York premieres and world premiere production of Gordon Getty's "Scare Pair," a double-bill by the San Francisco-based composer, pairs his two one act-operas -- Usher House and The Canterville Ghost -- together for the first time on October 19 and 21 (7:30pm) at The Sylvia and Danny Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (located at East 68th Street, between Lexington and Park Avenues).  Both works, with the libretto and music by Mr. Getty, will be sung in English and have a running time of 60 minutes each.

Manhattan Theatre Club has just announced it will produce the world premiere of Dan Cody's Yacht, a new play written by Anthony Giardina and directed by Doug Hughes, as part of MTC's upcoming 2017-2018 season. Lyric Unlimited has announced casting for the Chicago premiere of Fellow Travelers. Tenor Jonas Hacker and baritone Joseph Lattanzi will sing the lead roles of Timothy Laughlin and Hawkins Fuller, two men who fall in love during the height of the McCarthy era in 1950s Washington D.C. Devon Guthrie will sing the role of Mary Johnson, Hawkins's assistant and Timothy's confidante.
