An eclectic lineup is featured this month at Blue Note Hawaii with an array of iconic national artists, local favorites and hilarious comedians. The Henry Kapono Artist to Artist Series continues with Jerry Santos of Olomana, followed by local greats Shawn Pimental and Lehua Kalima, one-man wonder Tavana, Kapono N??ili?ili, Brother Noland and of course the incomparable Willie K. The Blue Note Hawaii Comedy Series continues this month with Steve Byrne and Louie Anderson. National recording artist and GRAMMY Award-winning R&B icon Regina Belle kicks off the month and is book ended with a capella phenoms Take 6. More artists this month include bandoneon player JP Jofre and his Nuevo Tango Quartet, the amazing flamenco guitarist Ottmar Liebert and pop singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson. There are also two late-night shows with self-proclaimed blues road dog G Love, following his performances at the sold-out Jack Johnson concerts.

December at Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, promises to be one of the most musically-diverse months yet. The club kicks off with two nights of the island's hottest reggae acts with Revive the Live Waikiki Edition, followed by tributes to Billie Holiday and Duke Ellington, singer-songwriter Imua Garza and a nostalgic run with Henry Kapono as he presents the Songs of C&K. Acoustic rock and reggae artist Trevor Hall, the legendary Willie K and soulful guitarist Tavana take us into the middle of the month, leading up to GRAMMY(R) Award-winning trumpeter Herb Alpert. When writer Dan Goggin imagined and produced his line of greeting cards featruing sassy nuns, few people would have predicted their instant success or the award-winning, full-length musical after the fact titled Nunsense. When the show's premiered on Broadway in 1985, the Nunsense phenomena continued with numerous revivals and sequels, and includes being adapted for the television screen. Fish Creek's Penninsula Players Theatre (PPT) reprises the rolicking musical from their 1987 season with a spectacular cast that shines another light on these angelic Little Sisters from Hoboken.
