Opera Santa Barbara closes its 25th Anniversary Season with an OSB premiere of Robert Ward's Pulitzer Prize-winning opera, The Crucible, 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at the Lobero Theatre. General and Artistic Director Kostis Protopapas to conduct and Stephanie Havey to direct.

Opera Saratoga will present Opera-To-Go performances of Pinocchio to over 50 public and private schools throughout the region from February 25, 2019 to March 30, 2019. Each year, Opera Saratoga tours a production to schools throughout the greater Capital Region and lower Adirondack regions of NY, and the lower Hudson Valley.

The Volunteer Council of the League of American Orchestras is pleased to announce that the Las Vegas Philharmonic Guild has won an Award of Excellence in the annual Gold Book competition for their project titled Romanian Rhapsody. The Las Vegas Philharmonic Guild supports the Las Vegas Philharmonic in its education initiatives and community outreach.   The award will be presented at the League's National Conference in Chicago, IL from June 13-15, 2018.

Opera Saratoga presents a new production of Marc Blitzstein's The Cradle Will Rock, directed and choreographed by Lawrence Edelson, and conducted by noted Maestro John Mauceri (company debut), who has been responsible for many significant operatic restorations, including Blitzstein's Regina.

The production features the Seattle Opera debuts of five exciting artists, and the opening night performance tonight, May 5 will also be the company's first-ever simulcast.
