Presented by State Auto Insurance Companies, a Lincoln Theatre Walk of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 28, at 7pm, to memorialize the three visionaries responsible for the historic Lincoln Theatre's rescue, renovation, and 2009 reopening-Michael B. Coleman, Bill Conner, and Larry James.

EUBIE!, the Tony-nominated musical from 1978 that celebrates the songs and stories of celebrated music titan Eubie Blake, will celebrate its 40th anniversary at Feinstein's/54 Below on Tuesday, July 10th, 2018 at 7:00 pm.

According to Variety, Richard Gere will play a media baron in upcoming BBC drama “MotherFatherSon,” the Hollywood star's first TV role in almost three decades. His character in the BBC Two series, Max, is a charismatic self-made American businessman who owns media outlets in London and around the world.

For more than three decades, George Christie was among the most prominent leaders of the Hells Angels biker organization. He was prosecuted and persecuted; hunted and hated, but always respected, even by his enemies, of which there were many. Now, Christie shares his journey from accused (though not convicted) murderer and arsonist to legitimate business owner and family man in the new, solo stage production OUTLAW. Written and directed by Richard La Plante, OUTLAW is coming to the Playhouse @ Westport Plaza June 29-July 1. New Line Theatre, "the bad boy of musical theatre," announces its 28th season of adult, alternative musical theatre, including the world premiere of THE ZOMBIES OF PENZANCE, Gilbert & Sullivan's newly discovered, original 'operatic abomination,' in its first ever production, running Sept. 27-Oct. 20, 2018; followed by the 'family values' classic musical LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, running Feb. 28-March 23, 2019; and to close the season, the St. Louis premiere of the new sci-fi rock musical BE MORE CHILL, based on the bestselling novel, running May 30-June 22, 2019. All New Line's mainstage shows will be in the company's home, the Marcelle Theater, in the Grand Center Arts District.

Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC/CUNY) and the BMCC Foundation will host the 2018 Gala, Invest in a Future: Empower Success, on Tuesday, May 15 at Cipriani, 25 Broadway in lower Manhattan. Tony Awards® Administration Committee has announced that based on the recommendation by the American Theatre Critics Association, that La MaMa E.T.C. (Experimental Theatre Club) in New York City, NY, will be the recipient of the 2018 Regional Theatre Tony Award. The honor is accompanied by a grant of $25,000.

The Kitchen presents a multimedia project from Charles Atlas, continuing the institution's nearly 45-year relationship with the video art pioneer. In The Kitchen's gallery, two new video installations take a retrospective look at Atlas' work while offering a counterpoint to his interactive 2003 show Instant Fame! and its portraits of downtown figures (through May 12).

Refusing to end their 2017/2018 season, Delaware Theatre Company reprises their hit production Maurice Hines is Tappin' Thru Life. Happy to be performing for Wilmington audiences again, tap dancing legend Maurice Hines will wow audiences for one weekend only, Friday, June 1 to Sunday, June 3, 2018.

On Friday April 6 and Saturday April 7 actress/author/minister Adrienne Barbeau brought An Evening with Adrienne Barbeau: There Are Worse Things I Could Do to the Debbie Reynolds Mainstage Theatre of the El Portal in NoHo. Playwright Brian Christopher Williams, a good personal friend of Barbeau's, moderated the evening. For 95 minutes Barbeau and Williams sat in comfortable chairs onstage and talked about her life which began in California and then moved onto New York and back. Barbeau is still youthful and beautiful at 72 and has such warmth and honesty oozing from every pore that the audience hung on every word. The evening never lagged..The time moved too quickly and an enthusiastic Q and A followed with Barbeau still beaming.

Rob Houchen is one of the three directors of the new event company called West End Does which has its first concert, The Magic of Animation, on 6 May. The Guildford School of Acting graduate is best known for playing Marius in Les Miserables, Fleet in Titanic, and his many concert performances. Houchen has also released two EPs, featuring covers and his own original music.

The Theatre Group at SBCC concludes the 17/18 season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, CRIMES OF THE HEART by Beth Henley.
