The Department of Theater at Brooklyn College is one of New York City's outstanding institutions in the training of theater artists. Shared Experience today announced its first national tour since Polly Teale's final production of Mermaid in 2015. A major new production of As You Like It directed by Kate Saxon, which opens tonight (11 July) at Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, embarks on a five-date tour to Richmond, Oxford, Worthing, Portsmouth and Letchworth in November 2017. 

Final casting is announced today for the transfer to the Arts Theatre of the acclaimed rock musical, The Toxic Avenger The Musical.

The Old Vic today announces casting for Queers, a series of eight monologues curated by Mark Gatiss. Staged on 28 and 31 July at The Old Vic, they mark 50 years since the Sexual Offences Act of 1967 began the decriminalisation process for homosexuality between men. Queers celebrates some of the most poignant, funny, tragic and riotous moments of British gay male history over the last century. 

A sparkling new production of The Wedding Singer will play at Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield for one week only from Tue 18 - Sat 22 July. Jon Robyns, Ray Quinn, Cassie Compton, Lucie Jones and Ruth Madoc will star in the hilarious musical based on the hit film.

Windy City Playhouse (3014 W. Irving Park Road) announces the complete casting for Gina Gionfriddo's "Becky Shaw," the dark, "ferociously funny" (The New York Times) comedy. Jeff Award winner Scott Weinstein directs the final production in Windy City Playhouse's third season, starring Theo Allyn ("The Matchmaker" at Goodman Theatre) in the title role as Becky Shaw.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, June 26 at 10:00am ET for SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway at The Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway - Broadway at 47th Street). Preview performances begin Monday, November 6th with an official opening on Monday, December 4th.
