Before Broadway's biggest night on Sunday, June 7th, 37 productions will have opened on Broadway in the 2014-15 season. Of those productions, 10 were eligible for Best New Musical and 11 were eligible for Best New Play at the 69th Annual Tony Awards. In these new plays and musicals, 213 actors made their Broadway debuts in new shows.

The Museum of Modern Art celebrates filmmaker Wim Wenders (German, b. 1945) with a major career retrospective. This series is a cooperative venture with the Berlin International Film Festival-which dedicates its 2015 Homage to Wenders, presenting him with an Honorary Golden Bear award for lifetime achievement-and Deutsche Kinemathek - Museum fur Film und Fernsehen.

Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) has announced husband and wife team, John Kazanjian and Mary Ewald as the 2013 recipients of the Gregory A. Falls Sustained Achievement Award. The committee of prior recipients has made this selection to honor their dedication to the Seattle theatre community, much of it through their efforts with The New City Theatre. This award along with 17 others will be presented at the 5th Annual Gregory Awards being held at The Neptune Theatre on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 7:30pm.

Prince George's Little Theatre will lead off its 54th season with the madcap comedy "Twentieth Century" at the Bowie Playhouse at White Marsh Park August 30 through September 15. The six Friday and Saturday evening performances are August 30 and 31, and September 6, 7, 13, and 14 at 8 p.m. The three matinee performances are Sundays September 1, 8 and 15 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20, with discount tickets available at $15 for seniors and those 18 and under. The Rubin Museum will explore illusion and human perception in this year's edition of the popular Brainwave series of on-stage conversations between mind scientists and thinkers from diverse walks of life. Opening today, February 6, the series will include 20 on-stage conversations, 50 film screenings, and an interactive experience in which the museum will become a Memory Palace. While illusion is usually associated with vision, the series will engage audiences through all five senses to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
