ACME, American Contemporary Music Ensemble, will perform music from its new 'portrait' album Thrive on Routine on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 8pm at Roulette (509 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY), on a concert series curated by Meredith Monk. The concert will feature Monk's first string quartet, Stringsongs, from 2005, which ACME has performed frequently and recorded for Q2 Music's Meet the Composer podcast. In addition, ACME will perform Caroline Shaw's in manus tuas for solo cello, Caleb Burhans' Jahrzeit for string quartet, and Timo Andres' Thrive on Routine for string quartet, from the new album. ACME players for this concert are Ben Russell and Laura Lutzke, violins; Caleb Burhans, viola; and Clarice Jensen, cello and ACME artistic director.

The Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University and The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, will present Mark Bradford as the representative for the United States at La Biennale di Venezia 57th International Art Exhibition, on view from May 13 to November 26, 2017. Los Angeles-based Bradford, a leading light in contemporary art, will create new works in a variety of media-presented alongside existing work-for Tomorrow Is Another Day, co-curated by Christopher Bedford, BMA Dorothy Wagner Wallis Director and commissioner for the project; and Katy Siegel, BMA Senior Programming and Research Curator.

An exhibition of works by Haile King Rubie, a 26-year-old Harlem artist with Down Syndrome, will inaugurate the Clara Francis Gallery, a new Harlem art spot, July 27 to August 17, 2016. The exhibition, 'Haile King Rubie: Speaking Colors,' is primarily drawn from Rubie's 'art waves' of 2013 and 2015 and features contemplations of his otherwise inaccessible inner world. All New Line's mainstage shows will be in the company's new home, the Marcelle Theater, the new blackbox theatre in Grand Center, St. Louis' arts district.
