Following a successful tour of Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends, today London Classic Theatre announces the cast for its production of Waiting for Godot, as part of the company's 15th anniversary season. London Classic Theatre Artistic Director Michael Cabot directs Jonathan Ashley (Pozzo), Peter Cadden (Vladimir), Richard Heap (Estragon), Michael Keane (Lucky) and Sonja Zobel (A Boy). The production tours to 37 venues around the UK this autumn, starting at Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury on 9 September.

Singer/songwriter Lesley Gore has died in New York City following a battle with cancer. She was 68. Gore is a singer/songwriter with over two dozen hits to her name including such iconic songs as 'Judy's Turn To Cry,' 'She's A Fool,' 'That's the Way Boys Are,' 'Maybe I Know,' 'You Don't Own Me' and the classic smash hit, 'It's My Party.' Sundance Institute announced today the program of short films selected to screen at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, January 22 to February 1 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The 2015 Short Film program is comprised of 60 short films selected from 8,061 submissions. The Festival is the centerpiece of the year-round public programs for the Institute, which also hosts 24 residency labs and grants more than $2.5 million to independent artists each year.

The Barn Theatre presents HAIR, the first and most famous of rock musicals, with music by Galt MacDermot and book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado. Barn Producer Brendan Ragotzy directs HAIR for the fourth time, having made his directorial debut with the 1989 production, then reviving his hit for the 1995 and 2005 seasons. July was an interesting month for AMP. The debut of the Music at The Downs series was a great success, with many new people discovering the fun of seeing an outdoor concert on the infield of the track. And you couldn't ask for a better show to start with than Michael Franti's groove-heavy Soulshine tour. AMP will be back again on August 5 with the next show in the series - Ray LaMontagne.
