The Pulitzer Prize Board has just announced that English, by Sanaz Toossi has won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Other finalists included: On Sugarland by Aleshea Harris and The Far Country by Lloyd Suh.

Joel Grey and John Kander will each receive the 2023 Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.

The Museum of Broadway's inaugural special exhibit, The American Theatre As Seen by Hirschfeld, has been extended by popular demand.

The American Theatre Guild is thrilled to present the record-breaking North American Tour of the Tony Award®-Winning Best Musical, DEAR EVAN HANSEN. This production is part of the BROADWAY IN SOUTH BEND SERIES and will take the Morris Performing Arts Center stage April 25–30, 2023.

The Greek National Opera has announced its events honoring Maria Callas, the greatest soprano of the 20th century with a series of tributes curated by the Artistic Director of the Greek National Opera Giorgos Koumendakis, taking place from April to December 2023.

Peter Harringon Rare Books from London is bringing a rare first edition copy of West Side Story: A Musical, signed by all four creators (Arthur Laurents, Leonard Bernstein, Jerome Robbins, Stephen Sondheim).

LA MAMA will continue its 61st season with the New York City premiere performance, 'The Hip Hopera of 5P1N0K10,' created by Tarish Pipkins or “Jeghetto” – set to debut as the first production staged in its newly renovated original landmark theatre.

Pat Catterson and Molissa Fenley, two of the seminal figures in modern dance, will present a collaborative program titled Taking the Long View at The Dance Complex on Saturday and Sunday April 15-16.  

Repeat engagements include David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band, Frank Vignola's Guitar Night, Birdland Big Band and Arturo O'Farrill & The Latin Jazz Orchestra.

The Greek National Opera (GNO) presents the Greek premiere of Sir David McVicar's production of Cherubini's Medea, led by GNO's conductor Philippe Auguin. The opera will be performed as a centerpiece of GNO's centennial tribute to Maria Callas.

The Bronx Opera Company will open its 56th season with the landmark musical LADY IN THE DARK, music by Kurt Weill, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and book by Moss Hart.  Performances will be on Saturday & Sunday, January 28 & 29 Saturday & Sunday, February 4 & 5.

Overtone Industries will present the World Premiere of ICELAND, a re-Creation Myth, an original multidisciplinary work of opera theater by O-Lan Jones and Emmett Tinley from March 24-April 2, 2023 at La MaMa.

Single tickets for the Toledo premiere of DEAR EVAN HANSEN will go on sale Monday, January 16 at 10 a.m. This production is part of the 22-23 BROADWAY IN TOLEDO SERIES and will take the Stranahan Theater stage for eight performances June 13–18, 2023.
