Golf's return to the Olympic Games for the first time in 112 years represents a modern-day first as Golf Channel joins NBC Sports' unmatched Olympic heritage to become the first single-sport cable network to provide live coverage of its sport's Olympic competition. And as today marks 100 days until golf officially makes its return to the Olympic Games, NBC Olympics has announced its on-air programming plans for golf coverage during the 2016 Rio Olympics. Golf Channel will feature more than 130 live hours of Olympics programming in total, surrounded by in-depth analysis previewing and recapping the competition and highlighted by live coverage of the Men's and Women's Olympic Golf competition (Men's: Thursday, Aug. 11 – Sunday, Aug. 14; Women's: Wednesday, Aug. 17 – Saturday, Aug. 20). In total, Golf Channel will provide nearly 300 hours dedicated to Olympics programming in August.

The first of four works presented in this dynamic program is George Balanchine's Kammermusik No. 2, a “fascinating” and “unremitting” ballet, followed by the dazzling and technically demanding The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude by William Forsythe that returns to Boston Ballet after a critically acclaimed Company premiere last season (Brian Seibert, The New York Times). Adding to the evening's exceptional program is the graceful Pas de Quatre by unsung choreographer Leonid Yakobson, a classically romantic work noted for its “distinctive movement sensibility” (Roslyn Sulcas,The New York Times). Concluding the program is Léonide Massine's colorful Gaîté Parisienne, an effervescent ballet that evokes Moulin Rouge and Paris in the early 1900s, and ends with an unforgettable can-can.  Kaleidoscope will run March 17–26, 2016 at the Boston Opera House.

Philadelphia Theatre Company presents the 2016 PTC@Play Festival of New Work celebrating the American playwright in Philadelphia on March 3-6 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre.  The festival will present staged readings showcasing three new plays by national and local talent including new work by Mark St. Germain, Philadelphia playwright Sam Henderson, and playwright/performer Rinne Groff.  A new addition to PTC@Play will be an evening of short plays, all written and rehearsed within one twenty-four hour period.  All events are free.
