The first UK staging of STRICTLY BALLROOM THE MUSICAL - based on the much loved film that inspired the world to dance - is to premiere at West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds, tonight 30 November 2016, playing a season through until Saturday 21 January 2017 (Press Night: Tuesday 6 December at 7.30pm).

The Hetrick-Martin Institute is the oldest and largest LGBTQ youth-focused organization, serving over 2000 youth annually by providing daily meals, health services, academic support, career preparation, artistic enrichment, support for homeless youth and more. Tonight Hayes Theatre Co held its twice-yearly COMING SOON event, where programming announcements for 2017 were made. 

Since winning hearts during his stint on Strictly Come Dancing, partnered by Flavia Cacace, actor and astrologer Russell Grant has starred in Hairspray, Grease and The Wizard of Oz. He's now hosting The Golden Age of Dance, a celebration of great dance numbers from classic films like Top Hat, Follow the Fleet, Swing Time and Shall We Dance, featuring a company of West End dancers and The Novello Orchestra. The show is at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 13 November and Wales Millennium Centre on 15 November.

Strictly Come Dancing's Brendan Cole will once again dazzle audiences in Glasgow with his spectacular new production, All Night Long at Theatre Royal this January.

Choreographer Drew McOnie's recent work includes Jekyll & Hyde at the Old Vic, Jesus Christ Superstar at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, Bugsy Malone at Lyric Hammersmith, and In the Heights at King's Cross Theatre, for which he won an Olivier Award. He's currently directing and choreographing the UK premiere of Strictly Ballroom The Musical, which begins previews at West Yorkshire Playhouse on 30 November.

As Michael John LaChiusa's The Wild Party will receive its first major London production at The Other Palace, playing from Saturday 11 February to Saturday 1 April 2017, with a press night on Monday 20 February. Directed and choreographed by 2016 Olivier Award winner Drew McOnie and starring Tony Award winner Frances Ruffelle, The Wild Party will be the inaugural production at The Other Palace, formerly St. James Theatre, when it reopens in February 2017 as the newest addition to The Really Useful Theatres Group and a home for new musical theatre.

New great seats at $75 each have been released for previews from 3-5 January 2017 and are now available from www.ticketmaster.com.au  or www.sydneyfestival.org.au Produced by Queensland Theatre Company, this swanky new home-grown musical will play a strictly limited three-week season as part of the Sydney Festival before touring the eastern states.

With pristine timing, just as Strictly takes to the floor, the third - and final - touring show from former pros Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace makes a stop in the West End. The 'last' of the title is more pertinent than the 'tango', as this is more of a medley of styles: the ballroom and Latin numbers reminding viewers that the pair were accomplished Ten Dancer competitors as well as Argentine tango show champions.

David Mirvish has announced the 17 shows in the 2016 - 2017 Mirvish Theatre Season.  There will be seven shows in the Mainstage Subscription Series, three in the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series, and seven bonus shows not on subscription.

Showers are on the forecast for Brisbane as the 'splash-hit' West End stage production SINGIN' IN THE RAIN opens today at Queensland Performing Arts Centre's (QPAC) Lyric Theatre running until 30 October, in a strictly limited season.

As this family and their world evolve over time, one question remains: in the face of climate change, can we break our habits and change the way we live?

Brand new stage show KEEP DANCING, which celebrates the ever popular world of Ballroom and Latin dance, opened last night at New Wimbledon Theatre, with special guests Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani. Other Strictly stars appearing on the UK-wide tour include Lisa Riley, Chelsee Healey and Louis Smith, joining Robin Windsor, Anya Garnis, other professional dancers from Strictly Come Dancing, and world-champion Ballroom and Latin Dancers.

Terry Johnson's "Painfully funny and funnily painful" (The Times) comedy, DEAD FUNNY, returns for a strictly limited season at the Vaudeville Theatre this autumn with Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd, In The Club, Humans), Steve Pemberton (The League of Gentleman, Benidorm, Whitechapel), Ralf Little (The Royle Family, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, The Cafe), Emily Berrington (The Inbetweeners 2, Humans, 24) and Rufus Jones (W1A, Hunderby, The Casual Vacancy). 

In Muriel's Wedding The Musical, Muriel Heslop is back! And this time she's singing.

?Queensland Theatre Company has announced that the critically acclaimed, smash hit and Helpmann-Award winning musical Ladies in Black will tour nationally in early 2017, opening in Sydney on January 3 for its premiere season in the city in which the story is based. The show will then return for an encore season to Brisbane from January 28, before another encore season in Melbourne from February 25, and to Canberra from March 27.

One Eyed Man Productions in association with Hayes Theatre Co is thrilled to announce the cast of SIDE SHOW, due to play a strictly limited four-week season at Hayes Theatre Co from September 23. This will be the Australian premiere of the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical that tells a stunning tale of sisterhood. With music from the composer of Dreamgirls, SIDE SHOW is based on the remarkable real-life story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton and their transition from 'circus freaks' to megastars.

After making waves across the country, cult musical comedy Little Shop of Horrors returns home to Sydney next week for its penultimate season. With a slew of recently announced Helpmann Award nominations including Best Male Actor in a Musical, Best Female Actor in a Musical, Best Director of a Musical and Best Choreography in a Musical, this production has received rave reviews in every major Australian capital city. Starring Brent Hill and Esther Hannaford, the production lands at Sydney's Roslyn Packer Theatre for 12 days only before concluding its run in Perth.

Charles Schulz's beloved characters come to life in this wonderfully entertaining musical by Clark Gesner.  You're a Good Man Charlie Brown will play Hayes Theatre Co from tonight 5 July for 31 performances including special shows for the School Holidays.
